Been busy with life. Did a 3 hour walk with mutt butt about a week ago. It was really nice. He got to be off leash and would run so far a head, stop and look at me. Yell come out and he'd be flying back at me to the point it was almost scary they he would plow me down but he stopped the last second. Silly dog. There was also a lot of bog on the side of the trail. I guess j thought it would be shallow.it wasn't. All i know is he went to step in it and the next thing i know is he under and pop back up with the WTF look on his face. Did a hour hike (SOO many Stairs) there a few days ago aswell. Jacey was off leash of course. We saw someone come with a retriever and a Newf. Retriever nearly went right off the edge of a steep area. Was pretty scary but turned out well. Glad jacey isn't quite that dense and stays on the trails. Someone popped out of the trees, I've never seen jacey stop so fast in my life. He growled a bit then realized what was going on and went on with trotting along the trails. Anyways, heres a picture of mutt butt lying down and waiting for me to finish what ever i was doing. Love his eyes! ![]() Picture of the trail. No we didn't walk ALL that. Probably close too it with how long we did walk. We came through the tunnel and kept on the trail going the other way. ![]() And picture of his new tag. This is his third one. ![]() Has my info on the back. He still has some crazy separation issues. Left him home in his kennel for 3 hours and came home to this ![]() He's doing okay with people. Strangers are still now allowed to touch him but im okay with that. I met up with a friend jacey has never seen before and by the end of the trip she was actually able to touch him and he would go near her. And as for me. Well im officially employed as of today. Couldn't be more excited as im working at a kennel. I start tomorrow morning at 8 am. Now to try to balance work, Pets and a bit of a social life. Tomorrow will be the test if mom can actually watch him while im at work. Edited by Enna, Oct 16 2011, 01:06 AM.

I also love that photo of Jacey looking up at you like that. He's sure has a sweet look about him. I think it's great that he loves to hike like that. That must be a lot of fun. Okay, I had to crack up at what he did by tearing up his bedding. May not have been funny to you at that time, but that photo was hysterical. On another note, I was staring at the photos of the trail that you posted. I would LOVE to take my mountain bike and just start riding. |

Enna....All I can say is this.... "he loves you!." That is the look of love in a dog's eyes. I fear that your mom will not do as well. He is going to be a big handfull for her. Congradulations on your new job!!!!!!! I hope you enjoy it and make some money. ha ha I will pray for your mom as that "Jacey" is a HIGH energy doggie. But the best part is ...I believe you have made a friend for life and he will never leave you and will always try to protect you. In the long run thats worth a lot. Kinda brings tears to my eyes.... lol didn't think anyone would notice the key. Its the key to the friends house. i always manage to forget it to let myself in but never jacey so why not attach it?![]() Im a bit rotted. The only time he was left home was the day before for about a hour and half in his kennel (i went out to thanksgiving supper). Other then that was was not barking at any point. I don't even see how they can tell me he barks outside. All he does here is go outside, pee and other business, come in. We goes for walks out town on trails and such. Im expecting another letter now aswell. For the last 2 days he's been left home in his kennel for 6 hours plus. i got home yesterday around 4 and parked the car. got out and didn't hear a damn thing. Open the front door and still didn't hear a damn thing so i panicked and ran inside to see him just sitting there. Once again today it was exactly the same. Thats not to say he doesn't bark at all when in the kennel as i know he does for the first while. But he's never left in that kennel till at lease 8am in the morning. Sigh im off work tomorrow so im going to go around and talk to everyone. Explain he will be getting a needle asap and coming to work with me when possible. Edited by Enna, Oct 19 2011, 12:57 AM.

Geez people kill me, I would not report a barking dog unless it was for really long periods and in the late or early hours. It would have to be bad for me to report. Good idea to talk to neighbours perhaps they could let you know how much he really barks, it could help you with the complaint. You may just have one neighbour who is being a pain in the tush |

prob should have went into details a little more on the vacs. The Vacs he will be getting is Bordetella, Aka Kennel cough vac. The kennel im working at requires it for day care and boarding. We don't require rabies, even though jacey has it, because we haven't had a case of rabies here in a few years. Which is nice to know. Bit crazy but i consider getting up at 8 am sleeping in and my god doesn't it feel nice to sleep in and have the birds up before me. |

He's good. His Beak is looking sooo good. It was rather overgrown before i got him. Really rough on the edges and not really shaped right. ![]() If you look at that picture of when i first got him, you can see how on the tip it looks kind of like its going to peel? Not really sure thats how i want to explain it but not sure how to go about it. But either way its because its overgrown that it looks like that. Lots of wood later and it looks almost perfect. I Shall try to get some photos of him tomorrow before work and hopefully post them on my day off. Along with pictures from in the aviary. Haven't done it in soo long. His feather condition still sucks. I need to find something better for him to bath in. He tries in his water dish but well, thats useless. I've tried him in the shower a few times but thats a no go. Thinking of getting a huge stainless steel dog dish for him. Just a matter of taking his play stand down so it can fit ontop of his cage. Overall he seems happy. Lots of toys to play with, Good food to eat and no one to hit him. I haven't hear the goose noise he makes when he's scared in such a long time. |
