my black and white canary Checkers laid three eggs almost 10 days ago, and I have been waiting for them to hatch and see those little beak pop up. The past few days she has been off the nest way more than usual.

She has now totally abandoned them. crap, not sure what happened.

I was really excited to see what the bubs were going to look like cause checkers is black and white, and my male Tango is a beautiful american green canary.

well, they will just try again, if I know Tango he'll be at her again in no time! He's a excellent father and producer. :(

nope, with canaries I let mother nature take it's course, if they hatch great, if they don't well....that's kind of sad.

I might try switching the eggs to my other two who are currently lying in nests without any eggs.

they've been cold for 2 days though, I might try it and see what happens.

I sucessfully transferred the 3 canary eggs to another nest in which cheescake 2 is now residing.

will have to wait and see.... gosh I should have done it sooner...duh ^o)

Did u candle them yet? If they are clear, u are wasting ur time. If dis u are wasting ur time. If u dont care if they hatch any, then leave it be and let them sit on the transfered eggs.

yup, they're toast, I don't think they were fertile, but that's mother nature for you, I only seem to have luck with my red factor canary Mango for some reason though

I'll be hooking her up with Tango in a month or two, I'm giving Mango a rest as she has had 3 clutches in a row, the last timeI didn't pull Tango soon enough.and she had her 3rd clutch in a row...poor thing, she was tired.
I love her to bits, I'd do anything for her, there's just something special about her. :D
