So Pass, you dont have a wife right? I never hear of one, or anyone taking care of you, so take GOOD care of yourself. I guess you have your sisters or family if you had a need right? :)

All my family would drop everything to take care of me, we're very close that way. But I didn't tell them lol.
I have a friend over here helping me out.
Thanks for caring.

Oh yes, so much better Cathy. Thanks. Just a little cough but that's it. :)

I had a little surprise in one of the nests lol. I had totally forgotten that i slipped a blue Gould egg under a pair of zebras and today I noticed the parents spending a lot of time inside their nest so i checked and there was this little Gould. The zebras are first timers but they are feeding the bub. They still have 3 star finch eggs that should hatch tomorrow.
Hahaha, a nice mixed family: A pair of zebras raising Gould and Star finch bubs. Not sure if this would work out but I'm keeping a close eye on things.

So cool Pass. Glad ur feeling better and what a nice surprise :)

The egg I moved under Inchy hatched out and I took him and the other two and have them in the brooder for the night. I left the last egg under the goulds, it should hatch tonite or tomorrow, then I will feed the 3 bubs and put two under Inchy and one more under the goulds and see if they start to feed or not. For now, I slipped 2 warm eggs under the goulds so that they have the full feeling under her belly for the night.

The third one that hatched out has a red wing tip JUST like urs. He seems so small and dehydrated, probably from a difficult hatch, and when Inchy assisted, may have hurt the wing.

I put him under Inchy on purpose as I could see that he was taking too long to hatch all the way out. So he got some sugar water for strength, so I am hoping he is strong enough to carry on.

It will be yet another juggling act with this set of 4 I hope.

Will repost this info on the proper thread, but just wanted u to know for now.

Great CBL,
I will follow the progress in your thread then.

As of today all my Gould pairs are separated. I only paired a male gould and a female parrot finch to try and make hybrids. They are amazing birds and I'd love to have a clutch.
Since I might move house in a month or two, i will stop all breeding once the current eggs and bubs are weaned.
My Canaries however are itching to breed so might try a round as well :)
