Holy Smokes!!!!! Are all those DIFFERENT sounds coming just from him???? I have never heard that before. I have heard a canary in the bird store but it didn't sound like that. He's really pretty I love the white on yellow. I want one. :( Do you sell some of ur babies to the bird store? I knew that new bird store in town was going to be too temping for you. ha :)

Pass, I like the slagers but not the certain tone they have. I only like the water gluck and the rest drove me nuts, thats why I got rid of my 3. Im glad u like yours.

I couldnt stand the mating call, grated on my LAST nerve lol.

Yes Vi, these canaries have a special song different from the typical canary song you hear everywhere. I might sell some babies, but I try to rehome first to people I know then sell as a last resort.
OH Maryann,
I have always been in love with the slager song... so yeah, I'm happy he sings non-stop :)

Pass, I loved the song, it was great, not too loud and lots of tours, it was the mating and contact call that just drove me nuts. I just dont know what it is, a certain tone of bark of a dog and a certain tone of a chirp makes my head explode. I get so angry I cant control it. Like fingernails on a chalkboard.

Now I can take fife canary song and calls and norwich and frill, but for some reason, the slager AND the roller chirp just drove me nuts. It was like a prison torture lol. Dont know why, just my brain I guess.

Today I saw that the female built her nest. She is ready to lay eggs so I'm introducing the male to her. Hope all goes well.
