Its been a busy few days so I have not been able to spend quality time with my bubs. So finally today after a few hours nap and dinner. I fed the bubs and noted they were all tucked in he the shelf in the bathroom huddled together as they normally do. When I tried to put them to bed in their cage with Inchy, they spased out. They act like caged budgies wanting out, throwing themselves at the bars, climbing the bars and calling to me. So I let them out. When I did, I grabbed the W/B for kisses. When I tried to put him back on the shelf, he did not want to leave the palm of my hand. It was then I realized, he wanted his cuddles. So I went and got my foam collar and they all tucked right in and nestled for a cuddle. It is soooooooooooooooooooo nice to know even tho they are fledged, they still want the safety and warmth of mammas neck lol. I'll get a pic if I can. |

Sooooo ...Sweet. In birdie land thats what we all wish for. I of course have an update on Pickles....he is being super spoiled (and loving it.) Tonight the others have said how much they resent it. Almost all of the birds have landed on my head tonight while I have been trying to talk to u. All are trying to knock Pickles off. He is getting tough...when he has had enough he makes a little "peep" just for me and I know he needs a change. I love the personal attention from my birds. I didn't think it would ever happen but I now know that they are mine! They are safe and I love them.

Oh, how unbelievably sweet (both Maryann's birds and Mr. Pickles). I just love to hear these stories about how safe and secure our birds feel. |

Photo surge ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This is where they sleep every nite. On top of the nest in a row and I just lift the towel for last feed at nite and feed thru the bars, they barely wake up and off I go to bed myself. ![]() This is a nice comparison of two color morphs. They are both opalines, left is violet opaline and right is sky opaline. ![]() ![]() |
