took me 5 hours just to get the boxes unpacked from outside, brought it, and then the cage itself set up. Then a good hour setting it up and getting the flock moved in.

They are all happy in there now though

Its all going really well. The conures were a little mean to the tiels they never met before (star & storm) but they are over that now.

Before when i opened cage doors to thoese who were caged it was a mad dash to get out. They were use to all the space and to be stuck in a cage for a week while the aviary came (more or less so it would be easier to get them in the aviry) was maddening. Now if one of the conures do manage to get in and i lock the door with them in its a mad dash to figure out how to get back in. None of the budgies or tiels bother to try to come out of the aviary.

I think overall they are all very happy with it as am i.

I also got counting and looking at genders the other day. 5 males and 10 Hens (budgies). Debating if i wish to add more or leave it as is. Right now theres no fighting between hens and they all seem happy. I have 2 pairs on the go for sure, Ocean and Nate, And then Turkey & Edwin. I would like to see if i can set up a pair again but my blood lines are pretty shot. 1/2 of my birds are related. I only have 1 male and 4 hens that currently have no relaltions at all.

i think it would be nice to see a budgie journal on here too. Havn't seen one in a while

Regardless of all this. Just going to wait a little while before i make any more choices on if i wish to add any more birds. Just going to make sure Everyone is okay with this situation and be sure everyone can find food. Im hoping to add 2 more aviary style feeders in and eventually be able to remove the plastic dishes but i have to make sure star and storm know how to get to the dishes
