Im liking the blue bub tho lol. Pass, my lilac 3 eggs are clear. I am gonna give them a rest for a bit and then try again in the new year. I dont want the hen to go out of condition. The eggs looked pretty small as well. I think she needs a rest even tho she didnt DO anything but abandon her bubs, must be tiring to kill them grrrrrrrrrrrr. Actually I need the rest. Raising these gouldians has be tiresome. Losing so many was disenchanting. |

This morning was the best. One of the silver bubs was out of the nest and sitting on the perch observing everything. He was so sweet. The other two should follow. CBL, This silver is a male and the other one is a female. Why? check your notes from the site. In silvers and yellows, SF male bubs have a darkish beak while females have pink ones. |

Pass, I LOVE that. Mine went from clueless to doing just that in one day. I had the one instead of hunkering down when I opened the lid, to walking forward and looking thru the front glass investigating. Its like they suddenly realize, hey, theres another world out there. They seem so calm and tame. It IS very cute. They have started to peck at things, so I tossed in a few soaked seeds for them to mouth and millet spray. I even take them out of the nest to let them look around on the top of the cage while I feed. They seem to be taking less and less feed, wanting to see whats going on, stretching the wings and hopping around. Too cute. |

Yes Cathy they do grow up quickly. CBL, see how calm and tame they are! Mine were parent raised and I rarely handled them and yet they show not fear. Only curiosity. LOVE THEM!! Today both of the silvers were out but the female went back quickly inside. I took the oldest bub's photo.

What a beauty! I wish for a surprise color every time a clutch it hatched lol. Pass r your bubs pecking any food yet? What do u give the babies to chew on. Mine are knocking around the seed and dry eggfood. They are VERY curoius especially the white breast. Number 2 is the shyest, so I may call him/her Shy. White breast may be Prime after Optamus Prime on the transformer show. LOVE that character, fearless. Third one, not sure yet, may just be Juggles ![]() Mine r 23 days today? Pass, mine are showing SO much color. My hen from the last clutch that is about 6 or so months is still all green with NO color at all. How come these bubs have so much baby color?????? |

The other baby is out as well, only Violet is still inside the nest ![]() Come out Vi!!! lol ![]() Maryann, They play with the food but don't eat. I have placed some spray millet inside their nest 4 days ago for them to practice eating. Some birds are more colorful than others, it's normal. My Socies are raising 3 bubs as well: ![]() |
