Well I just got up, looks like Booboo is only interested in nest building. He is not feeding at all. I took his two small bubs and gave them back to Inchy and removed one of the larger ones to Booboo, sometimes the larger one will spark him to feed. So it is written anyway. I am going to make up some formula now for the little ones tho as it has been at least 3 hours since one of them has been fed and 2 for the other. I will try to feed then while in the nest thru the bars again. |

Doodoos an idiot lol. I saw he laid a peice of green lettuce ON TOP of his bub lol. Ur supposed to chew it and feed it TO the bub lol, not bury him in food. Inchy is feeding well. I am keeping a close eye on doodoos larger bub, I think I see a seed in the crop that I did not put in there, so will see how he does. I can always give a feed or two. Such a relief as I know I can just transfer to Inchy and they will take over. I am trying to teach doodoo tho as a back up optional foster parent. |

Nix my previous post, Doodoo is a genius lol, he is feeding his guts out now, the crop is stuffed full of food What a good daddy in training lol. I may give him one more chick to feed, I will see how he handles the stress.

Ya I think he was at first using it for nesting material, but the older chicks are now vocalizing and he is now feeding the chick properly lol. |

Hi CBL, Some had yellow sacs and some didn't. Just like yours. I guess it has to do with how big the yolk inside the egg was in the first place. I'm glad babies are thriving

Ya Pass so far so good, now I am confident that I could hand feed from day one without killing them. It was a matter of really only using a damp moist brush, literally no real clob of food, any was just too bug of a mouthful. |

Well, Booboo did as I figured, he left the nest for the night, waiting for me to do the nightshift lol. So I put the big bubs in with Inchy and pulled the small ones so I can give them feedings up until 11ish or 12 pm. Then I will replace them at 6am and give Booboo the big bub after Inchy feeds them once first. ![]() With all this juggling around, Im gonna have to name the bubs after a circus. So start thinkin of names. One can be juggles for sure. |
