I know u cant tell the whites but when I put this one in with the known males, they hacked at her head and then the other males looked like they were fighting over "her"" If that is the case then one of the whites is a male and I have to try to figure out which one, I guess I could put them in one at a time and see the true males reactions to them.

CBL,
All the birds are in one room and they are not allowed anywhere else. I LOOOOOVE my birds but one room is all they get in my house.
The beige is a hen and she's split to a mutation called Black Breast. Both whites look like males.

Cathy,I love the tufts too :)

Violet,
I only keep Zebra, Gouldian and Societies finches but I used to have a pair of OW many years ago.

Pass how the heck can u tell she is split to black breast???? Coolio tho, so what makes u say that when u see her? She and a white are who made Booboo.

The other was a pied and a white, so u think the OTHER pied is a hen as well? I will go get a pic and post that too. Now I dont know if the two eggs in the brooder are theirs or the pieds as I moved a pile of eggs to their nest from the other so, who the heck knows what I could get if they hatch!!!!

Then she's split white too. I could tell she's split black breast by her thin tear mark and the hourglass shaped white markings on her tail.
