Pass how many bubs has she had, do not know what to call it, in dogs or cats its litters, what is it in birds?

She's not dying old, she's just getting to that age where I prefer to retire them (5 years)... Gould live much longer. I've had a boy that lived 8 years but not sure how older they could get.
She had 5 clutches of eggs the past year. Some of them unplanned and straight onto the cage bottom.

Pass is there a known reason why some females have eggs, unfertilized. In other words is there a way to prevent it.

Reading these threads is very educational for me -- and I very much enjoy reading the trials and tribulations of raising baby birds. Even so, I know that I won't be breeding but I sure enjoy reading about it.

I cannot believe how they are able to raise these bubs, the handfeeding, the treating for infections, I am always AMAZED
