Two Zebbie Eggs; I have drawdown

Ok, I have simultatious drawdown of two zebbie eggs.

I went and took those 2 eggs out of the nest that they were building over.
I have had them in the brooder with Booboo for about 4 days and have been turning them every 2 hours.

Well I have been candling them daily to see and have JUST now witnessed the drawdown. I am freaking out and excited at the same time, as this means that within 24 to 48 hours they will hatch.

I am worried that they will be able to hatch out on their own fine as who the heck knows
if the parents assist that we never see.

It is nerve racking to say the least. Wish me and them EXTRA good luck on their impending arrival.

Thanks Cathy, I hope they hatch out without any problems. I read that if too humid, they drown, if too dry, they stick to the side of the shell and cant get out and die. So I read and re read the humidity and now Im NOT supposed to touch or turn the eggs again. I just have to candle to make sure they are still internally pipping.

Cathy, Im not tired, just worried, I get good sleep and this zebbie has been surprisingly easy to feed, just the worry that goes with it takes its toll on me. But I would rather save the bubs and eggs than just toss them in the garbage, I just wish I had a better way or technique of how to feed without getting them sick. Seems like every single bub I have fed has gotten sick. The canaries were sick in the nest and I had to pull them, but all budgies, and finches have been sick. So I must be missing something.

I dont believe he hand feeds from day one. It must be that the bubs dont have the crop milk for the immune system. When I feed with antibiotics they do well, this was just a screw up on my part. Now he has some type of digestive infection, like e coli or some other bacteria. The trick is gonna be picking the right drug to help him. I know its not a parasite as he is a baby and has not had any contact with anything else. So I will give him a few treatments with the 4 in 1 and or try him on the baytril. I have to wait tho now as he has had his 4 in 1 today.

CBL,
Try Trimetoprim. This antibiotic is highly effective yet well tolerated by tiny bubs.
