My daughter said that the Dr. said he would not do surgery on Sable.

He said that poor Sable had a chronic case of yeast infection in both ears that had not been attended to for a long time. He said that she hit her ear because of head shaking from the infection. yawww He said that when the infection is gone the lump will drain and be gone on it's own.

He gave her an ointment and predizone.

He took a long swab and cleaned her ears. My daughter said it was real black and smelled terrible.

My daughter said that as soon as he had cleaned her ears her eyes started to get BRIGHTER.

I think my daughter has bonded with Sable now so maybe more ear cleaning can be done at home.

You know we didn't know that dog....and she has really big teeth. She was muzzled at the Vet's so maybe we should invest in one of those.

Anyway, I will see her tonight. Hope I see brighter eyes and a smiling muzzle. ha ha

Excellent, now she had to be diligent with the cleaning and medicating EVEN after it looks like it is gone, usually for 7 to 10 days at least OR the infection which comes up from quite low down will just re-occur. Its a pain in the butt thing but when done, its done!!! The dog will feel sooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better. She will shake her head alot as, the cleaning drives it nuts. Im so glad u got her to go. Poor thing deserves to be well.

Oh some happy news, poor doggie, missing his family and being ill. Perhaps once the ear infection is gone the dog will perk up and his personality will come out and your daughter will hopefully fall in love with Sable. Merry Christmas Sable lets hope 2010 is a better year. Oh crap I have to go hug my dog now.

Thanks guys for the care and concern. Didn't get to see Sable tonight because Jeff is feeling sick and wanted my daughter to stay home with him encase he had to go to the hospital.
