Violet if the dog has a fluid filled sac in his ear, it has to be treated asap. My robbie had both ears done, its called a hematomia, its usually from banging their ear, it will continue to fill, unless drained and if left untreated can become infected. Tell them to see a vet. |

Cathy....it's not IN his ear (at least that I know of) its on the skin. I don't know the right way to explain it. But....yes, yes, yes he needs to go to he vet. I hate this. It appears to be a matter of time and money. My daughter has contacted the owner about it. He said it always does that and he sticks a pin in it but then it just fills up again. My daughter doesn't have a car and Jeff works from sun up to sun down 7 days a week. When I get them both together at Christmas I will force them for a plan. |

Also, I feel there is more going on than just the fluid filled sack. I believe something is going on inside the ear. I can tell that dog is in pain. She needs everything vet visit and extensive grooming. Grrrrrrrrr |

its definitely a hemotomia, thats exactly what happened to Robbie and the vet said once they do it, usually they have banged their ear on something, the fluid no matter how many times drained will simply collect again. They stitch the ear skin so their is no space for fluid to collect. Its not as bad as it sounds and it works for their lifetime. It is very painful to have the fluid in the ear skin and it gets really itchy. The owner needs to step up and pay for the vet bills. |

Well....this is how it works. They have to pay for it and send him the bill and that will be deduced from their rent. This is a problem and I don't like it. ha ha |

Hmmmm a fluid filled sack, sounds like a hematoma, flop eared dogs get thos from shaking their heads IF they have an unresolved ear infection. It is something they need to check out. If it bursts, it will look like a murder scene. Blood will fly up the walls. If it is what I think, then they must get meds for ear infection and may even need to do surgery to lance the blood and put either buttons or tubing to flatten the ear as it heals. She is very pretty tho and would love to see pics of her. As soon as I get kitty pics, they will be here Cant wait!

Maryann Robbie did it to both ears in less than 1 month, because he is so short, (scottie) his ears are coffee table level. It was well worth getting done, they stitched both ears. No problems since, did not bother him except for the "bucket" bit. |

Whats a "Bucket Bit?" Just got off the phone with my daughter. She says Sable really doesn't feel well. (ya think?) I went on my rant and told her to tell Jeff to chop down another tree on his way home from work. She said "Oh he'll like that you said that." ha ha We got Kitty an appointment for Tues. 29. She is calling the Vet back now to find out some information for Sable. P.S. got a cute pic of Kitty with send later. |

After dogs and cats have surgery or stitches they put this horrible cone around their neck so they cannot pull out the stitches. I call it a bucket some call it a cone. |

Ha ha Cathy ..... I know about the cone. The bucket thing threw me off. Thats funny I never heard it called a bucket before. I am very excited for Sable. Funny thing though....she is nice to me, but seems a little afraid. Sometimes she hides behind my daughter and like groans at me. Christmas is a little messed up for me because my daughter and Jeff want me to come to their house. But, what about Eddie????? I don't know how Sable would be to him and we all know about Kitty. This will be a problem for me ..... they are close but not real, real close. We want to make food, watch movies and whatever just have a relaxing day. I would have to leave at 5 or 6 to go home and attend to Ed and then go back? Or should I try to take him. I don't want him to be scared and uncomfortable. Sorry just thinking out loud. |
