It has a bad clip, the last primary flight should always be cut. When alone, it is at risk for breakage and bleeding. Old school is to leave one or two to buffer the fall, but it is now thought that it is more risky to leave them as they break easily without the support of the rest. |

Thanks CBL. That is a older pic. Wing clipping was done at pet store I've been told what a horrible job they did. Now if a clip is needed I go to the "Bird Lady." You know I don't think I'll ever need to clip again. I am serious ... they just don't want to come out of the new cage. The door stays open all weekend. They have plenty of room in there to test their wings but I really want them to come out and fly around a little. I'll show you new cage. |

Gorgeous cage and it has so many toys no wonder they want to stay in, nice that you keep giving them the option though |

That is a GREAT cage, I could use a few of those lol. I know what u mean tho, my budgies have a huge indoor flight, I open the doors, one or two come out. I grab a few more out and before my back is turned, most are back IN lol. They love going to the outside flight tho. I have to force them to fly. They are like me, home bodies, wanting to stay close to home.
