I don't know anything about different breeds, or how to id a bird. I don't know anything about that. This is what I do know. Those birds are BEAUTIFUL. I love the red beaks !!!!!!

How did your birdy break it's leg? Boy am I glad he's being taken of by someone who loves birdies.

Tish, I think the kids at the house tried to catch him in a net and broke his leg, it was a VERY fresh break. It is about 95% healed now and the bandage is off and I have to look hard to see which of whites it was. The only way I can tell is by the lack of feathers on the leg. I had to pluck them to tape. I am thrilled. He will make 100% recovery :)

That's great and I'm glad it was an accident instead of an 'on purpose' break. Not that it's less painful but I have a real hard time with people doing an "on purpose" to critters.

He is a beautiful little guy and now he has a happy forever home.
