Welcome to JUICED - a general chat community that focuses on providing an enjoyable place to visit and participate in. JUICED was first established in early April as a closed community; meaning that registrations were only allowed for 24 hours once a month. The idea worked surprisingly well, though it tried up after a few months and we ultimately decided to open the community for good. After another few months and a unsuccessful merge, we're back, and this time, we're here to stay!

Yeah, it is pretty good, though I think they shouldn't charge money for it, or atleast not as much as they do.
Well, it's probably a very expensive test to do, so they've got to pay for it somehow.

Probably, but 15,000 for one test? I'm sure they don't need that much.

You'd be surprised. If they don't turn a profit their parent company shuts them down, and then we don't get ANY new medicine.

So, what did I miss, anything good? We were talking about how great our God is, the creator of the Universe in a Scientific debate thread?

Well, my way of thinking is: A supreme being in the sky who created everything within seven days, just seems like some fictional book, movie or television show, you know? It just doesn't seem real, so I say it's bull.

I mean, you could say you believe in god because you're possibly scared, because since day one, people've probably told you that if you're bad, bad stuff'll happen to you, or whatever they say. But if you think about it, what're the chances that you become an angel or whatever and go into heaven and stuff.

You know, for all we know, the bible could just be an age-old fictional book, which gained a fairly large cult following, and was passed down until years later, newer peoples just thought of it as religion, and didn't know if any of it was true or not. :P
The odds of any god(s) existing, are like, 0.01 out of... ALOT.
Not to be disrespectful, but I think you've got it all wrong. You're looking at God from the viewpoint set up by Christianity and the Bible. The Bible is mostly stories and about 80% of it is made up stuff to get morals across to the reader.

"A supreme being in the sky who created everything within seven days", wow if you put it that way, I think it's bullshit too. You have to think about God with an open mind, you don't even have to call him, or it, God. I believe in a God that created the whole. The whole being reality as we know it. This might seem fantastical and sensationalist but if you look at the science (WHAT? SCIENCE IN A RELIGIOUS CONVERSATION!?!) God becomes a very plausible idea.

One way that God could exist would be as a being from the highest dimension. Let's pose an example, take a piece of paper, this piece of paper is a universe in itself. Draw a character on the paper, this character is in the second dimension, or 2D and thus can only exist in the X, Y planes. Now imagine yourself as God. You are in the third dimension, or 3D, you exist in the X, Y, and Z planes. Now think about it like this, if you were the character on the paper, you would have no way to see God in the third dimension because you only exist in two. You can only see what is in your universe, or the piece of paper; but God can still see you because he exists in a higher dimension.

You might ask though, how could God interact with our dimension? Well, if there is a being in a higher dimension acting as God it is most likely an insanely intelligent creature with almost limitless power, sound like God yet? This creature could easily do as he wished with our universe. In fact, he probably made our universe. Have you ever wondered how our universe could be so perfectly tuned to harbor in favor of complex life such as ourselves? Think about it, if you change one little thing in our laws of physics the whole universe becomes unstable and life impossible. Now was our universe just the product of mathematical odds, or was it custom made by an advanced being? Either way is pretty wild.

If you go with math, there are infinite other universes in a multiverse in which we exist as one bubble. Some of these universes are completely bizarre and are incredibly unstable. Others are stable and capable of supporting life, such as ours. Now if you go with a higher intelligence, then our universe was created by this being and custom made to support us. Even at our very low understanding of the universe we can create small universes out of pellets of hydrogen in the laboratory. So what is stopping a creature, millions, if not billions of years more advanced than us from creating a universe of his own?

After contemplating this knowledge and theory, I would have to say the existence of God is a 50-50 chance. I'm not trying to make you believe in a God, I couldn't care less what you believe, but I just wanted to show you the possibilities in a way you've probably never thought of.
Legend, you should read the above quote, it's about God.

The current question I have is something about in Genesis, yes it's a scenario.

In the Garden of Eden it is PERFECT right? In the beginning God says to Adam not to eat from the tree of knowledge otherwise he would 'die.' Adam wouldn't have known what 'die' meant would he, because he has never seen or experienced it? Then the Serpent talks to Eve and she acts like she knows what 'die' means but how would they know what 'die' means when they have never experienced it? Even little kids don't understand death when their pet dies.

You could have someone explain it to you, like God. Death isn't that hard of a concept to comprehend. I'm sure Adam and Eve knew what death was. You're taking the stories to literally.

Death doesn't occur until AFTER they sin, if someone tells you that you will have side effects if you have drugs, you don't know what the side effects will be. If it is the very first time you heard that word you wouldn't know what they are talking about, you'd only see the good side of the drugs and not the bad side. Death has no grip until Adam and Eve sin, WE all know what death is and means but I'm not sure that they would know what it means do die.

I'm sure the minister wouldn't be able to explain it but we'll see. I'll ask a minister now...AHEM!

KamikazeHD, in Genesis it says that God will tell Adam that he will die if he eats off the Tree of Knowledge, how would he know what death means if it never existed at that time? How can you possible understand something that doesn't even exist and is full of benolii?
