Welcome to JUICED - a general chat community that focuses on providing an enjoyable place to visit and participate in. JUICED was first established in early April as a closed community; meaning that registrations were only allowed for 24 hours once a month. The idea worked surprisingly well, though it tried up after a few months and we ultimately decided to open the community for good. After another few months and a unsuccessful merge, we're back, and this time, we're here to stay!

Guests who are not registered or logged in only have access to viewing the Community Information sector. To post, participate in the community and ultimately become a member of a fast-growing general chat forum, please take a few minutes to Register!

You must be talking about Tamiflu which is eventually going to run out as you know they aren't going to have enough to go around to everyone though the government will continue to insist they got enough when I can say they probably don't judging by the government's track record as of late.

A 23 month baby died in Texas. :O
Key word: baby. Children are far more susceptible to diseases than adults, so I wouldn't worry too much. Most of the deaths have been in areas with poor medical care.

Exactly what Kamikaze said. Babies can die from a normal flu, so swine flu really isnt that much different.

Agreed.
The thing is, they can't wait for it to become a full blown crisis before doing anything about it.

If this thing were to become a pandemic and be fatal to whoever got it then we would be screwed.

They are making sure it doesn't get a chance to do any of that so I don't blame them for being so tough on dealing with this.

They aren't affected but there were cases reported in New Zealand which is not far from Australia.

That can change at anytime though.

the way the media report this makes it more dramatic than it is but it is quite worrying and if they move us from category 5 to 6 all schools will be closed
