Welcome to JUICED - a general chat community that focuses on providing an enjoyable place to visit and participate in. JUICED was first established in early April as a closed community; meaning that registrations were only allowed for 24 hours once a month. The idea worked surprisingly well, though it tried up after a few months and we ultimately decided to open the community for good. After another few months and a unsuccessful merge, we're back, and this time, we're here to stay!

Guests who are not registered or logged in only have access to viewing the Community Information sector. To post, participate in the community and ultimately become a member of a fast-growing general chat forum, please take a few minutes to Register!

The sky is blue because the gas molecules in the atmosphere absorb the blue light being emitted by the sun, and then is radiated in all directions. Then you look at the sky, and see the blue light everywhere, and the sky seems to be blue.

Right?
Actually, they absorb the other colors besides blue, they just refract and reflect it all over the place.

Yes, on Friday April 13th, 2029 an asteroid called MN4 will pass by Earth so closely it will dip below the communications satellites. It probably won't hit Earth on that pass but on Friday April 13th, 2036, it is predicted to strike us. It's not going to wipeout the human race but it will do some damage.

What is the hardest artificial material?

Diamond is the hardest natural substance known and therefore scratches all common materials.

The airline that owns the plane hires a wizard to cast a spell of levitation over the plane.

Why is diamond so hard, and graphite so soft, yet they both are pure carbon?

Lift overcomes gravity and drag. Here's a diagram:

I don't accept the answer to my question though. I have heard of materials harder than diamond that are manmade.

Aggregated Diamond seems to be the answer that is whispering around.

We don't really know who was the first to discover electricity, it is theorized that ancient civilizations knew about electricity. We didn't start to use it until Benjamin Franklin's "kite" experiment. After that Edison made the lightbulb and that really propelled humans into using electricity.
