JUICED was first established in early April as a closed community; meaning that registrations were only allowed for 24 hours once a month. The idea worked surprisingly well, though it tried up after a few months and we ultimately decided to open the community for good. After another few months and a unsuccessful merge, we're back, and this time, we're here to stay! Your robot could gladly do that for you, but it will be smarter than you. What if it brought you back a Sandwich instead? Yeah, may be cool at the time but a robot with free will, it may get dangerous.

And on I Robot. That movie showed how having machines do everything for us can be our downfall. |

I think it's happening. The weather here in Scotland has gotten much warmer. Hell, we don't get much snow anymore, if any at all. We usually have a whooooole lot. And it's already turned into summery weather already. Way earlier than usual. O.o Not much is being done about it though. Hybrid/eletric cars are coming out now and claim to be better for the environment and whatever but they cost waaaay more than a normal car. How is your average person gonna afford that? And nevermind that, they're all ugly and strange looking, I think they're trying to be futuristic or something. That's about the only thing different to help the global warming thing, but I rarely say any hybrid cars around, so it ain't working. |

It's gonna be too late before we realise that the Earth is getting way too hot. It's a bit like when a tidal wave hits. The FIRST warning is when the water goes out into the sea and everyone runs in further to the Ocean. BIG MISTAKE. The next warning is the actual wave coming into view, but by then it is too late. You cannot outrun a huge tsunami wave, especially after going the wrong way towards it. However, if you saw took heed to the first warning sign, which was the water going out then you might have been able to reach high ground in time. It is same as global warming, we are getting warning signs of it right now but MOST of us are ignoring it, we won't do anything about it until it is too late. |

Well, we already know it's getting too hot, so I don't see how it could be too late before we realize it. Also...how do we really know we have to stop it? The earth's temperature has been fluctuating from lava covered planet to ice age it's entire existence, and scientist's (real scientist's, not the ones who want funding and TV time) say we're just coming out of a "little ice age." While there is no doubt the pollution human's give off is contributing, we're probably just speeding up the process. Also, I know SOMEONE will eventually bring it up, so I'm gonna clear it up right here. There will not be mass floods due to global warming. The ice caps are melting. Yes. But, they will not flood the continents. The Ice Caps float on the ocean; when they melt, they will fill up just as much water as they displace. They are like ice cubes in a glass. When the ice cubes melt, does the glass overflow? Nope. |

Stop putting gay things here.

Here's what the planet might look like if the ice caps completely melted: ![]() Not that bad as you can see... and if you account the new warmer land that can know be used it's all gonna be fine. :P On the note of the robots taking over. Robots will one day certainly get smarter than humans but that does not mean they will take over. First off, you make a failsafe, secondly you don't give them free will. You make sure they are limited in what they can do. You don't give supercomputers that can out think people the ability to make lethal weapons, example: terminators. <.< |
