Chicken Barley Soup


1/2 lb. pearl barley
1 sm. stewing chicken
2 carrots, cu tinto 1-inch chunks
2 stalks celery, sliced
2 T. parsley, chopped

Combine all ingredients in slow cooker. Cover with water.

Cover. Cook on low 4 to 6 hrs.

Transfer chicken to platter.
Remove chicken from bones.
Discard bones & skin. Return chicken to soup.
Continue cooking until barley is soft.
