This looks SOOOOO good!! I am tempted to make this for dinner tonight. Sans the mushrooms and fried onions  Dan won't eat those. But, maybe I'll sub green peppers, yellow onions, and olives..... :yum:

Thanks for posting this recipe -- I made do with what SO had in the house. No pepperoni and no 'shrooms.

Just a simple hamburger spaghetti pie kind of thing. Took it to his Mom's on Memorial Day (the doctors have given her 6 to 8 months due to her cancer) -- God bless her -- she LOVED this dish

It was good to see her eat -- and will make this for her every chance I get :thumb:

Again -- many thanks !

 Wow, that looks so good! I used to make spaghetti pie a lot and I haven't in years, need to revisit this. I love the idea of the pepperoni on it, and I'm definitely going to do that. I may put in Italian sausage instead of ground beef, only because I have a whole bunch of it on hand.

I am making this tonight. No mushrooms or fried onions because Dan doesn't like them. BUT - I am going to add ricotta cheese into the layers because he does like that. Hope it will still be as good with all the changes!

 I made this tonight and I used good sweet Italian sausage instead of ground beef and I added some olives to the top with the pepperoni. OMG!! So freakin' easy and so delicious! All of you spaghetti and pizza lovers have got to try this.

The fried onion rings were an interesting touch, one I never would have thought of before, but I can assure you, I'm going to try incorporating this idea in some other recipes. Evidently the coating breaks down during cooking and helps thicken the meat sauce and it adds a really nice flavor to it. I think even onion haters would love it.

 HMMMM, gives me an idea....for those of you that have "onion haters", get some and either chop them up pretty fine or pulse them in a food processor so that there are no longer any identifiable onion pieces. They'll never know the difference, and they'll wonder how you got it to taste so good!

I made mine last night too! I regretfully had to leave out the fried onions and mushrooms. But, I did add diced onions and ricotta cheese. Lots of Parmesan cheese and Mozzarella. I think I will add more pepperoni next time, and maybe even some salami and green olives.

It was VERY good though!! I will definitely make this again! Dan told me afterwards that if I had really wanted the mushrooms, I could have added them, and he would have just picked them out. Think I will do that next time!!

So, all in all?

Oh, and Charlene - I have had to do that for YEARS!! With the onions. I dice them up so finely, that and garlic and green pepper, that they never even know they are in there! But, I guarantee they would notice if I left them out!! I do that with Meatloaf, Meatballs, Hamburgers, etc.

 We do what we gotta do! I have to do that with recipes that have hot sauce, some chiles, etc. Ken IS getting better though...it only took 34 years for him to figure out that I'm not trying to poison him.
