Posts: 14 Group: Honorary Team Member Member #2 Joined: Jul 2, 2008	Okay, I have heard in the chat box that IAAN needs some ideas on how to get the forum active. So here is my suggestions in a half-assed nutshell: First, we need an interesting forum skin. the ones we have now are crap. Sorry to say this, but it is true everyone. It is time for a bit brighter and more exciting skin to use on this forum. As for where to get the skins, just PM me, IAAN. I found a place full of great skins. Second, we need a new banner. Good heavens, we don't even have one! I'm already bored of not seeing one, so I'm extremely willing to make one now. Just let me know what size banner you want and a few simple details like what color(s) you want it to be and such like that, IAAN. Also, we should have a multi-banner feature, which changes the banner to a different one nearly every time you switch to another forum page. That would add variety to how creative the forum looks. Third, we need to affiliate with more forums. Only two won't cut it. More advertising will bring more members, especially if this forum looks awesome. More advertising sigs will help as well. PM me. Forth, we need better forum features like a point system and/or contests. Seriously, if nothing can be given to you for being active and/or for helping/supporting a "healthy" forum event, the forum and it's users will never flourish. There needs to be a REASON to be active here. You can't just demand or expect it. Period. Last, we are in dire need of an article team that is actually active and can write something interesting. Boring Yugioh COTD or Deck articles don't always cut it. We need creative people working on this, not just some band-wagon junkies like wlsack (no offense). Try letting the team write about their experiences with the Yugioh TCG as well, and not just articles about decks and the COTD. This should be fun for the writers AND the people reading. PM me that link I agree about the banner too, I've been trying to get you to make one for awhile. my plan on that is to pick the forum skin first and then let you look at it and use your best judgment on making the banner, the only requirement will be that itstimetoduel.net has to be on it. it's hard to run contests with so few members coming on here, I've considered running tournaments too but it's just really hard with so few members. you are right though, I can't expect people to just be active. I think I'll post a tournament sign up after this for articles like that though we'd need people who have actual experience dueling competitively and I don't know anyone like that besides, there currently isn't an article team anyways.
