Camtasia is a good recording program that can be used to record videos on runescape. Acquiring it permanently is easier than you'd think. First, download the free trial here: http://www.techsmith.com/download/camtasiatrial.asp Rather than the 30 day trial option, say you have a license. Enter your name (or a fake one, doesn't matter) and enter any one of the following codes:
Finish the installation wizard and open Camtasia normally. A screen will pop up telling you you have the 30 day free trial. There will be three options: Accept the 30 days, buy the product, or use a license key. Select the third, enter the same name as before, and enter the same license key as before. You now have Camtasia! Open it up. Select 'Record the Screen'. Camtasia's toolbar should now open for you. ![]() Select 'Custom' and set the box to cover your rs window. Remember not to include your chatbox and inventory, only the rs window (unless its like a level up or something.) Now hit the big red 'rec' button and commence with recording. Select 'Pause' at any time to temporarily stop. Select 'Stop' to end the clip. Upon pressing 'Stop' a preview screen will pop up, showing you what you have just recorded. Select either 'Save' to edit it yourself, or 'Produce' to send it to someone. After selecting produce you will still need to save the file. Save it somewhere you can find it and MAKE SURE TO SAVE IT AS .AVI, NOT .CAMPROJ!!! To do this just click the arrow under the file name and select .avi from the drop menu. So now you have your recording and everything. How do you get it to someone else? Go to www.filefront.com On the left hit 'Add Video,' then press 'Browse' and find the video. Hit 'Upload' ![]() You'll now find yourself at a page loaded with advertisements. However in the top left, under 'Join Filefront,' you will see a link with the title of your recording. Click on this link. The page it takes you to is the one you want! Upon reaching this page copy and paste the url to the person you want to send the video to via IRC. ![]() Now all that person needs to do is open the link, select 'Download Now,' and save the file onto their computer. (Note that in my example I uploaded a .gif file instead of a .avi file. Yours will come out the same, just thought I'd mention it) Get vidding! -Dest |

Yeah, if you render with Camtasia there's actually an HD option. And Sabby/Shawn, those are probably memory space problems, not problems with the program itself. |
