I don't know if it's just me or not, but I believe that it is a disgrace how the justice system is being abused to punish people that shouldn't necessarily punished. I see commercial upon commercial on television for legal services. They site a specific problem in the commercial and sue the company at fault. I know that companies should be more cautious with the products that they sell and the research that went into that product, but suing them and forcing them into settlements for millions upon millions of dollars is not going to help anyone but the person that is suing for the millions. The above is fairly debatable, and even I think that companies should be punished for their lack of business ethics. However, the way that most of America goes about punishing them is wrong. A jail sentence would more than likely make companies be more cautious about their business activities than a multi-million dollar lawsuit. This type of behavior only punishes the rest of America in my opinion. By constantly suing drug companies, and the drug companies insurance companies, we are only making drugs more expensive and not making any progress towards the illnesses that need to be cured in the world today. I detest ambulance chasers even more. This is just a sad excuse of people trying to make money from misfortunes of others. I have actually heard of people getting in car accidents on purpose to sue for damages caused in the accident. I think that people should be punished if it was extreme carelessness or something along those lines, but an accident is an accident and people should not be burdened for it. The person responsible for the accident should be responsible for paying for car repairs, or health bills for the injured person. However, the behavior of people wanting to get rich off of such an accident is immoral and not right in any way, shape, or form. Now that I got that off of my chest, how do you guys feel about this particular topic? |

This is America, we run off of money. The rich get richer period. The justice system has always been fucked up. Im sure you have heard about rapists getting paroled after months and pot dealers getting served 10+ years. Its only going to get worse........... |

its all bullshit though. People fucking suing over hot coffee being spilled in their laps is fucking ridiculous. This one fatass was imprisoned and was suing because he wasn't getting fed like he was used to. fucking sad. |

I heard about the coffee at mcdonalds thing, it has happened more than once. That kind of shit makes you think. When judges are sitting in there chair listening to lawyers and people try and argue about a situation like that, dont they stop and see the bigger picture? A man bought hot coffee and spilled it on himself, now hes suing somebody for it. I would fine the man for being such a fucking retard. |

lol the coffe thing and the slip and fall thing is the reason why My generation is filled with inbreds and Libreals. Its common fucking sense if its Coeffe its going to be Hot so lay it on the fucking table and if you spill something on yourself its your fault for having butterfingers no one elses. As for the meds thing if people die over your product not workign the way you advertise you should get sued but it shouldn't be mad public. In the American Prison System you are only fed three square meals a day and thats it unless you have a condition thats not being fat.If he can sue for that I am going to sue for being so damn godly. |
