I'm from the southeast, although I think I'm a lot more liberal than most people who live around here. Extreme anime archetypes are probably frowned upon, but I'm a college student, and college campuses are somewhat more moderate anyway.

But there's an anime club at my college, and we're 40-strong so far and growing. While anime may never get a wide acceptance in Mississippi, at least there's a following at all here. We'll revolutionize the state just yet. Already the Gulf Coast is booming with casino traffic and revenue.

My alma mater in deep south Texas loves anime. Now the campus has two anime clubs. As for where I am now, I have not really seen it, however, I may be proven wrong when I Volunteer at A-kon this weekend.

I'm going to a university in Hammond city, Indiana State in August. I really, really want to know whether there are a lot of anime fans or not. In my country, China, you can find anime fans and anime shops everywhere. But in westen countries like England I found such a few anime or comic shops.. So worried about the place I'm going to!

You may get lucky, but there probably is only a comic book shop in your area. Anime isn't as mainstream here yet where even general toy stores have anime-related products.

That university might have an anime club, though, so look into that. They would know where to buy things.

I got it, thanks very much ~ your words are helpful to me. It seems that my friends and I need to spend a long time to adapt the new area.~
