Techniques and Worlds Techniques have close relationship with different worlds. Deska is the most stellar of all examples. Deska is the land of spirits, thus spirits actually roam the area. A Command uses mana to overlay one's voice in order to 'command' and channel the user's mana and amplify it to create a powerful result. Thus even with little mana, one can execute a technique that is much more powerful then Spells and Execution. Usually in Deska, one bonds with one or more spirits and uses them to execute a technique. However if someone from Deska was to be in another land, Sakia for instance, that someone will not be able to execute any Commands without having a bonded spirit, also called summon. This creates a conflict and limit in techniques one can use outside of their own native world. If a Sakia or Deska native was to move to Sharo, the gate would change their mana into chi. Chi is used as gathering from the nature into one's body and releasing it in a powerful result. However mana is something that someone is born with. The amount is near infinite, however it is limited to one's control. Mana is also manipulated while chi is released in a focused manner. Thus a mana user will have harder time adapting to using chi. A user can, however, learn how to use another world's techniques. However these techniques must be trained in the origin land and cannot be trained anywhere else in conflict of energy being different in each world. |

Spells, Commands, and Execution There are three main categories of techniques; Spells, Commands, and Execution. You might be wondering what their difference may be other then usage of different energy. The second main difference is the way they are performed. Spells Spells are manipulation of mana. It directs energy, mana, to a sophisticated form in order to accomplish something. This nature allows Spells to be flexible and combine with other spells easier then other techniques. Also a spell can be 'trapped' into an inscribed format on paper or an item in order to use them out side of Sakia. A weakness of Spell is that it takes time, the most complicated and powerful a spell is, more time it takes. However having an inscribed spell can help this weakness as they can be triggered immediately. Commands Commands are exactly what they are. They are actual commands. The user layers their voice with mana and that mana is then amplified by a spirit. This allows a user to use the less possible mana and have powerful results. For example, in order to do a fire spell, a Spell user may spend a half of their controllable mana. However if a Command user were to replicate that using a spirit, it would take approximately a forth of their controllable mana. This is the Command's strength, however its weakness is that it cannot be used without a spirit. Thus Command users tend to have summons, or bonded spirits, with them if traveling to another world. Execution Execution uses a completely different form of energy called chi. Chi is drawn out from the surroundings and nature into the user's body. Then it is focused and released in a desirable form. Many Executions include physical movement such as kick or a punch. Although it may seem as if the user doesn't use chi, their physical strength is doubled or even tripled in the technique. An Execution user may perform similar task as a spell, however it will be rougher and it may require more energy. Execution moves may be performed in all worlds and its speed in performing it is its greatest strength. However an Execution user runs out of stamina at least twice as fast as other users, creating a disadvantage in a drawn out battle. |

Enchantment Enchantments are basically inscribed format of a spell. An Enchanted item may increase a stat or it may cast a spell with mana depending on its usage. An Enchantment is rated in four basic rankings as an item does; C~S-Rank. An Enchantment for a spell may be inscribed on a paper or perhaps a weapon in forms of symbols in which traps mana inside. This mana is a 'shaping' mana in which will shape an energy into a form of a spell. Thus any type of energy can be fueled into an Enchantment. A weapon may have the same inscription, in that case, it will allow a user to cast a spell while directly attacking. An Enchantment can also be dormant. It can simply raise your stat by you simply having it. Such as a pair of Enchanted boots may give you boost in speed stat. Because an Enchantment is a trapped form of energy, it can be carried to different worlds and it will still function. Allowing it to be quiet useful in many ways. Body Enchantment A body enchantment is rare. However it is done in cases of someone wishing to be a shape shifter. However remember that it is only limited one per character as it is directly tattooed onto a body. This type of enchantment allows a user to modify their body into a single other being. Such as changing into an wolf, however never other form then the wolf and human. This enchantment will drain a body's energy directly, thus it drains a user much more quickly. Even so, this enchantment type is popular among nature lovers. Edited by Jeviherei, Apr 6 2009, 07:17 PM.

Technique and Enchantment Limits Ah yes, there is always that bothersome limit. However in this world, even a D-Ranked character may use an A-Ranked technique. This all depends upon your general stat. Spells/Enchantments For a spell and enchantment, the defining factor is intelligence and control. [intelligence / control] D-Rank: 1 / 2 C-Rank: 2 / 4 B-Rank: 4 / 6 A-Rank: 8 / 10 S-Rank: 12 / 12 Command For a command, only control is the factor that determines which rank control you may use. [control] D-Rank: 1 C-Rank: 3 B-Rank: 6 A-Rank: 9 S-Rank: 12 Execution Execution is a combination of three; speed, strength, and control. [speed / strength / control] D-Rank: 1 / 1 / 2 C-Rank: 3 / 3 / 4 B-Rank: 6 / 6 / 8 A-Rank: 9 / 9 / 10 S-Rank: 12 / 12 / 12 Remember that although you may carry an enchantment; which includes enchanted weapons, if your general stat falls short, then you will only be able to use 50% of the effect in which an enchantment carries and it will not be rounded up. So if an enchantment raises your stat up by 1 point, it will not effect your character in any way if the general stat falls short. If an enchantment carries a spell, then the effectiveness of the spell will be degraded by 50% as well. So if it carries an A-Rank spell, then the spell will only be measured up to high C-Rank or low B-Rank. |
