Please, tell us a little about yourself. How old are you, what's your name, and stuff like that. Give us some personal history on you. Also, how would you describe your personality? My name is Andrew, I am a 24 year old single male currently living in the midwest of the USA (please don't hold that against me). I am a musician by trade, a blues drummer to be specific. I play in a moderatly successfull band that romps around the midwest playing gigs during some weekends. I actually got into Eve because there is absolutely nothing to do in a hotel room when I am on the road. Being a musician I am rather laid back, it takes quite a bit to rile me up, and I am always ready with a joke. Please list your in-game characters: Komichi Christopher Newport How many skillpoints do you currently have?: 2.8 mill and climbing Do you have a microphone and are you willing to use Eve-Voice, Teamspeak, or Ventrilo? Yes, and I prefer Ventrilo to EVE-Voice, I can never get the PTT button to work. At the moment, what ships do you tend to fly? What is your profession and what are your goals within the game? Currently I spend most of my time hopping around in my Interceptor (Claw). Looking to get setup in a Jaguar in a couple weeks of skill training. Most would call me a pirate, I will shoot anything and anyone if the money is right. But don't worry about betrayal, if I call you friend then you have nothing to ever worry about from me. If you have been in previous corporations, please tell us about them. Why did you leave them and why are you considering leaving your current one?: Horrible Horrible Management. People being way too structured about the game. Idiotic ideas like, "Noone is allowed to go to low-sec without permission." Why are you interested in joining Hoist The Colors? What attracted you to our corporation? Do you know anybody within the corporation who could vouch for you? Solomon pitched it to me more or less. Laid back fun people and constant war are totally up my alley. Wanting to blow everything up is fun. Having friends that want to blow up everything is even more fun. Activity. What part of the world do you live in and what is your time zone? Roughly estimate how many hours/weekly you could devote to Eve? USA Central time zone. Unless I am playing a gig somewhere, which is at max three days a week. I am on for at least a couple of hours a day. How do you currently make ISK in Eve? Are you capable of funding yourself? Are you willing to work on ways to increase your ISK-intake? I generate Isk by a combination of mission running, looting from cans, looting from wrecks, and on a very very rare occasion when I am really bored. I hop into my badger and mine. What does teamwork mean to you? Are you a team-player? Explain. In every game I play I end up being the support man. If it's an FPS I am the sniper watching my squads back. RTS, I handle all of the defense and let my teammates do the assaulting. When I mission run or pirate with my corp, I let them do all the damage and focus on making sure they don't kill my buddies. I don't want all the glory and the kills. I just want my team to make it out ok. We love to use small ships such as Assault Frigates, Electronic Attack Frigates, and whatnot in PvP. It's something this corporation was built upon. Do you have any issues with that? If so, please explain. I hate using anything larger than a BC. Battleships are just way way too slow for my tastes. Do you have thick skin? We have adult humor within the corporation. Are you a-ok with that? I am ok with that as long as I am allowed to join in on the "adult humor". Are you a spy trying to infiltrate our little organization? If yes, please explain why. ^^ No. But a very good question. Hypothetical: You're on voice-comms and suddenly, out of the blue, you hear a female voice. Please tell us how you would react. A simple hello I suppose. That is assuming she was joining the channel. Scenario: We are at war with a corporation twice our size, and we are out-gunned and out-numbered 2-1. What should we do and why? In the event of that situation geurilla warfare becomes our best option. While much less glamorous than all out war, hit and run attacks do well to disorganize and confuse an enemy. Things like pouncing on a small group of them destroying one ship and then retreating. Wait for them to move on and do the same again and again until they are incapacited. All in all moving from using brute force as a main weapon to using strategy and cunning as the method to defeat our enemies. Under no condintion do we surrender. Scenario: We run into a helpless Freighter in low-security and ransom said Freighter pilot. Do we: A) Honor the ransom Please explain your choice. Honor the ransom, there is no other real choice for any type of longevity. Was the corporation to get a reputation for not honoring ransoms we would immediatly become a group of big giant shiny targets that everyone with any level of morality would see fit to destroy. Even without that point, I take very little joy in killing the helpless. |

Well now, what do we have here? This is interesting. I wasn't expecting you so soon! -- Voice wise, that's a complication. At the moment, we're using eve-voice. Sadly because at the moment, I had to let our voice-server go. RL finances are a bitch, at the moment. Economy and all that. Is that ok with you? Secondly, please provide your UserID & Limited API Key on this page, and also provide us with a link to your InEve.NET character pages. Also, need the screen-shots buddy. |

Not bad skills. Look at them now. Not too shabby. Need one more screen-shot. Of your login screen with the accounts box expanded, please. |

Well hot damn ... so far, I am highly impressed. Your skill-training is excellent. Need to polish a few area's but I got nothing to shit on. So ... give us a fitting for an Interceptor. ^^ And don't miss Cath's questions. |

Well right now I have four Beta Hull mod OD's in my low slots. Using a T2 MWD That is getting me up to around 5.2km/sec at full speed, and 4.3 at orbit. But I have some skill training to go. Two Arbalest Standard missle launchers One loaded with Thermal, The other with EM And right now (until I get my skills up) One 280mm prototype siege cannon. Loaded with Republic Fleet Depleted Uranium I would like to see if I could tweak some autocannons to hit at extreme range but if not I will just stick with T2 artie. And a T2 warp disruptor. Two ancillary current routers to keep my capacitor up and running with all of the MWD and Warp Disrupting It's designed to orbit at around 16km and stay out of the 10km death zone. |

Not a bad fit. I'll have to look @ the Minnie ceptors again but I'd like to see more guns. I was looking at your skills a few moments ago. What I would like to see is Weapon Upgrades V and Advanced Weapon Upgrades IV. Followed by T2 Minnie guns and all gunnery support skills to 4. But we'll cover that at a later time. =) Cath still has some unanswered questions. See post #3. I can't think of anything else at the moment. But there -will- be more questions. I want sleep first and you're not keeping me up any longer, you son of a bitch. Hehe. PS: Please make sure every time you reply, you use your in-game name. ;) |
