To start an game all you need is a good story idea and to make it known.
To start an RPG you should make sure people know what you want:
Like is the mythical, or in a certain time period? If people can have abilities or super powers.
Tell them what info is needed about their character; such as this:

name-
age-
appearance-
apparel-
abilities or powers-
tools or weapons-

You can add or take away from this example.....

If you are joining a RPG read all of the story if possible. I know, reading 80 pages is not fun so it might be better to ask one or so of the players in that RPG for a summary of what has happened thus far.

When creating a RPG, it is best to make a sign up/OOC thread separate from the actual RPG so as to decrease clutter in the thread.

Try to keep OOC remarks to a minimum in the RPG thread, unless there is nowhere else to post it.

If someone or a group of people who are in charge of the story line posts a specific character sheet then that is what you use.

If you don't like a RPG don't join it! No one on here is going to make you do it.

In most cases, the GM's (game master or person(s) in charge of RPG) word is final.
If the GM(s) say that you cannot use a character in their RPG, you can't. Likewise with weapons, magic, etc.

Try to be as realistic and true to the RPG's reality as you possibly can. Example: You have a rifle in 1123 England in a Medieval RPG. They didn't have those back then and you shouldn't unless the RPG involves something like time travel where it is possible for the character to have futuristic weapons.

Do NOT PP (Power play )
Or Godmod, it is not cool. It ruins others fun..I mean its Ok if you didn't realize you did it, but if you do it on purpose its just stupid.
It is considered very rude and disrespectful to control another's character without their permission. This ranges from a nod of consent in a conversation to saying that one character followed another to somewhere. It also includes combat scenes.

And if you want to stay involved in the rp, Be in the active voice, not the passive. And don't do stuff like, "And he went off alone, thinking about the day". I hate to say it this way, but that is the way Rpgs die.

It is usually a good idea to toggle off your signature when posting in the actual RPG thread because it not only takes less time to load without the pictures but also makes the thread easier to read. there is a check box that says "Enable Signature" under your post's text box. Deselect it and your signature will not be added to the post. Not having all of those signatures to load will make the page come up considerably faster, and it will make it easier to read the posts in a RPG.

Try to remember that it is more than likely past-tence.
I've seen many sentences like following: Michael is going down the hall, Michael is entering the cafe.

If you have anything to add, feel free to post it here.
Also if there is a problem feel free to PM me (the admin) about it.
