Recording Downloading and Registering Hypercam 2 The best program to use in my opionion is Hypercam 2 Click 'here' to download it I suggest using this because it's free, less laggy most free recorders and i find its the easiest to use Once you've downloaded this when you record and play it back you'll notice a small "unregistered hypercam 2" at the top left corner of the screen To get rid of this open the hypercam interface, click License and somewhere on there it will give you the option to enter a code, copy and paste this code onto there and then click ok PD:{HyperCam 2} LO:{Maria Pavon} SN:{cb-5655824} NC:{1} LD:{2009.04.25} KI:{HPHS-0} FS:{1} KD:{100 048 098 002 001 003 128 020 088 020 218 217 142 101 237 160 167 138 156 046 095 153 097 206 124 115 001 129 048 009 006 005 043 014 003 002 026 005 000 048 011 006 007 042 134 072 206 056 004 001 005 000 004 047 048 045 002 020 073 139 219 144 188 090 236 193 251 044 103 226 027 123 198 144 043 034 233 009 002 021 000 151 051 210 000 048 226 221 023 243 029 072 039 244 178 235 089 219 096 173 004 EK:} Your hypercam should now look like this ![]() Recording Alright now that its installed, lets get onto the recording. To record Runescape, you can either use 'Select Region' or 'Select Window'. ![]() When you click "Select Region" your mouse will turn into a small crossbar, just highlight the area you want to record by left clicking and dragging the box. When you click "Select Window" when you move your mouse across the screen you'll notice there'll be a flashing white box, left click once then the recording screen area will fix to that position Best area to record obviously O.o ![]() Once you've done that, go onto this tab ![]() By clicking "Browse" you can select the folder you want to save your clips to after recording Tick "Add sequential number to the file name", this way it saves straight into your documents without having to name it You can mess about with the settings and test the quality when you play back so you can see which is best for you, or just copy the ones i have, it gives good quality and minimal lag To start recording, press "F2" ( it can be what ever button you want "F2" is basic, you can change it at the "Hot Keys" tab table ). When you have finished all you want to capture, press "F2" again to stop recording. It will then be saved to where ever you set it to. To see where it is set, click the "Avi File" tab. If recording is making you lag, check out this video, its only 2 minutes long http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5XTBqgQP4g&fmt=18 the video basically says go onto your desktop, right click then go to properties -> display settings, then change the colors from 32 bit to 16 bit ![]() After you've done that, you should be able to record fine without the lag Editting and Uploading Trimming your Videos If your recording a whole trip and your wanting to upload it so we can compile it into a video, you'll definitely need to trim it down To do this, open Windows Movie Maker (comes standard with xp + vista, so no need to download) ![]() Import your clip and then drag it down to the timeline play the clip until it gets to the bit(s) you want to cut, then click "Split" at the start and "split at the end, then right click the other 2 that you dont need and select "remove from timeline". Now you should be left with the small clip you need, now click on "Publish to - This computer" and save it. Uploading Go to http://uploadhosted.filefront.com/ ![]() Click on "Browse", select the clip you've made/cut on WMV then click "Upload file" Once your video has finished uploading, copy the url then either pm an op it on irc or paste the link here we can then download it from there and put it into a Hells Hilts video If this guide didn't explain enough or I've missed something, take a look at these videos, or you can just watch these videos and ignore the guide lol Free Hypercam 2 license - Read (more info..) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktcsbkrZyrg How to make Hypercam 2 lag less - Link already above http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90SY29xboJU Trimming clips with Windows Movie Maker - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5vfLsax3EU |
