Dagannoth Kings Guide ![]() _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Part 1: Gear & Inventory Part 2: How to get there Part 3: The Monsters Part 4: Killing Scenarios _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Part 1 Gear & Inventory Hybrid Setup ![]() Mage Setup ![]() Tribrid Setup ![]() Slayer helm not needed, was just my slayer task, replace with a super restore _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Part 2 How to get there Team meets in Seers Bank, this is where invos can be checked before any trips begin if players are not sure if they have banked correctly Either telle to your house if you have moved it to Rellekka OR walk up with the team along the paths to Rellekka ![]() Travel with Jarvald to Water Birth Island ![]() Enter and run towards the Giant Rock Crabs double door, if required use protect form melle prayer here – one team members on each team needs to stand on a pad each to be able to open the door ![]() If the team has a member using a throwing axe follow the green route If no throwing axes are being used two teams will have the enter two lots of main doors Green route- Giant Rock Crabs – protection prayer is generally not required Yellow route - Wallasalki – mage protect prayer will be required ![]() Stand close to the triple propped up doors – if a throwing axe is being used make sure you have the special attack set and throw at the middle door and wait until the attack takes out all three props If no axe is being used the two teams will have to attack the props for each other with mage or range attacks Now climb down into the deeper dungeon with mage protection prayer on ![]() An easy way for remembering prayer in each room is listed below mage, range, none, range, mage x3, none, range,range/melle, melle Please note Where it says no prayer Giant Rock Crabs are in these rooms and may possibly melle you Where it says range prayer you may also be melled by these dagonnoths but the range attack will prolly hurt you more than the melle attack Rest behind the ladder safe until the team is healed and has restored energy up to at least 70% run, sara brew for that bit of extra defence and super restore to replace any lost prayer coming down thro the dungeon Last mad run mage prayer Mage’s are to enter the lower dungeon first – they are to run directly east and catch Rex on their way luring him towards the east then south safe spot – mage protection prayer is to be kept on at all times until mages are sure they are safe from primes attacks Hybrids enter after a short amount of time and with mage protection prayer on and using all melle weapon spec attacks kill Supreme as fast as they can – healing thro any range attacks – once supreme is dead hybrids are to run towards the hybrid waiting spot and range Prime until dead – mage protection prayer must stay on during this time DO NOT take off prayer until you are sure you are not getting attacked ![]() _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Part 3 The Monsters ![]() Dagannoth Prime, level 303 Nature: Aggressive Attack Style: Magic Examine: A legendary dagannoth king, rumoured to fly on the North winds. ![]() Tactics: The Dagannoth prime casts what's like water wave on steroids. Simply turn on protect from magic and he won't be able to deal any damage to you. Also, he seems to hit the people who are attacking him with melee the most - or people who are right next to him. So it is a good idea to range. The only thing you have to be wary of is Rex running into you and damaging you badly. Also, his Magic can hit up to 64, and it will hit anyone within 3 spaces of its destination, and anyone in the path of the spell. Notes: Be careful in the lair, as the other two kings can hurt you if you are not using their specific protection prayer. ![]() Dagannoth Rex, level 303 Nature: Aggressive Attack Style: Melee Examine: Firstborn of the legendary dagannoth kings. ![]() Tactics: Dagannoth Rex cannot be hit by melee or range, so mage him from the edge of the moat. Rex likes to move around a lot, and his huge tail will swipe out at you and deal up to 26 damage if you get too close. Also, when he swipes, damage will be dealt to multiple players if you're standing together, so spread out if your there with a team. If you see Rex coming for you, break off the attack, get back and wait for him to attack someone else, and then recommence attacking. You can solo kill or dual kill the Rex by bringing a high level spell such as Fire wave, Magic dart, or an ice spell and maging Rex from the south-east corner of the island next to the seaweed. Be sure to bring plenty of prayer potions, food, and a teleport out. Bring Guthan armour if you can afford it for its healing properties. Notes: Be careful in the lair, as the other two kings can hurt you if you are not using their specific protection prayer. ![]() Dagannoth Supreme, level 303 Nature: Aggressive Attack Style: Ranged Examine: The dagannoth king responsible for the death of the Bukalla. ![]() Tactics: The Dagannoth Supreme launches spines from his back that hit several people at a time. It's best to melee the Supreme, when he launches his spines, people who are further away are more likely to be hit than those standing near him. Also if you can get behind him that is great, as he only launches spines in front of him. As long as you have protect from ranged on, he isn't really that difficult. Notes: Be careful in the lair, as the other two kings can hurt you if you are not using their specific protection prayer. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Part 4 Killing Scenarios Firstborn of the legendary dagannoth kings Dagannoth Rex Drops include: Rock-shell platebody & Rock-shell platelegs Warrior Ring, Berserker Ring & Dragon Axe Dagannoth Rex will move around the area the most; therefore he needs to be caught by a mage fast! and lured away from the team. His tail and ‘claw hand’ can swipe a mighty punch and often, damage can also be dealt by ways of a multi attack if players are grouped together The dagannoth king responsible for the death of the Bukalla The Dagannoth Supreme Drops include: Spined body & Spined platelegs Archers Ring, Seercull, Dragon Axe The Dagannoth Supreme has a multi target attack – he throws spines in a range attack from his front In a group of players with protect range prayer on he is no problem to bring down fast with a melle attack – healing with Guthans is also effective Because Supreme has a range attack the closer you are standing to him will lesson his attack A legendary dagannoth king, rumoured to fly on the North winds The Dagannoth PrimeDrops include: Skeletal top, Skeletal platelegs Mud staff, Seers' ring & Dragon Axe The Dagannoth Prime is prolly the most dangerous of all three kings because we wear armour to the dungeon and it’s mage attack is powerful. This king is pumped full of steroids to utilize its water wave spell at you - again if players are grouped this will be a multi attack but no problem to players with mage protection prayer and a good range weapon to unleash on this monster Dagannoth Monster Killing Scenarios Ok here we go there are a few things that can happen at DK’s that can really mess up trips OR even end them fast! If we have the team all working at dks in the same manner then there is no reason why we should have many deaths and have long and hopefully bounty full trips
Mage if you are being pulled closer to the hybrid team stay safe by switching in protect from range prayer on – never walk off and just look after yourself Hybrids carry on with protect from range on and spread out – Rex’s melle hits are a multi attack if you are grouped together – put on piety/chivalry prayer to help your melle attack and your defence from Rex’s attack on you and heal thro his hits. If you can not use piety/chivalry use steel skin prayer and best attack prayer you can. As normal after Supreme is dead the whole group switch to mage prayer and run towards the east so that Rex can be caught by the mage. Once Rex is safe hybrids are to position as normal and resume kills It’s important at times like this, players are not running around in a panic stay calm – use your prayer to help you and the team. Work together to get out of this
Tip: when ever you are killing Supreme always keep one eye open for the yellow dot on the mini map telling you when Prime has respawned! – Someone on TS will also give a warning
If you are killing prime and Supreme has also started attacking because someone was stood in the wrong place and attracted him DO NOT move closer to the group to try to get away. All you will do is put the other players in danger! If by chance you are NOT getting hit by Prime switch your prayer to protect from range and stand still! If you are under attack from prime remain with protect from mage prayer and tank out the hits from Supreme – steel skin prayer will help some and if you are finding yourself in trouble replace you range top for you Guth plate and carry on ranging Prime – eagle eye prayer will also help you kill Prime faster Main points!!!! If the wrong king starts to attack you DO NOT run towards other players! DO NOT panic Once you commence kills on a killing DO NOT move around – this is mostly important while killing Prime Use TS! Even if you can not chat back listing to the person leading the team is of upper most importance – effective communication is a must! We do not have time to type it out! TEAM WORK – support each other ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Multi yellow squares - Ideal safe spots for mages to safe Rex Single yellow square – in game you will notice this square is a darker shade than the rest of the floor - Ideal safe spots for mages to wait for Rex to respawn Waved yellow line – ideal place for mage to heal with the use of Guthens ![]() Large green rectangle – in game you will notice these squares are a darker shade than the rest of the floor - Ideal spots for hybrids to kill Prime safely away from Supreme Waved green line – ideal place for hybrids to heal with the use of Guthens, healong off of Supreme is also very effective ![]() Multi green squares – if a player is taking Primes mage attacks for the group it is important that other player stay still and keep one space distance away from the player taking the attacks for the group ![]() Thanks to Chilledchill, Ohbabyxo and anyone else who helped with this guide |

this guide needs to be updated, am guna try n work on some of it changes made so far that ive found; -Rune thrown axes NO LONGER work on all 3 door supports -All attack ranges have been increased alot -Prayers seem to take longer to activate -Prime is ALOT harder to lure now as he moves around alot -The accuracy and power of all 3 kings AND sineys have increased -(this might just be my comp) You cant see what your hitting on prime from the ranging spot -----Changes that need to be verified------ -Monsters can now attack as soon as they spawn, no slight delay as there used to be -Rex now switches at will not just untill he kills/gets lured |
