My friend bought it and handed it to me three days ago... he's like "beat this before you go" so I've been playing it non-stop.

I love it... it's a lot similar to the other one, I'm just happy they don't make you have magic points. Will is actually useful now.

They haven't changed a lot, they've just expanded things. The world is a lot bigger and more open ended, Villagers are still fake... Silver Keys are in places you'd actually think to look. I love it. <3

I'm just hoping he brings it back tonight so I can finish it. I think I'm only like halfway done.

I think I'm picking it up this weekend. I was supposed to today, but I decided go to a movie with one of my friends. She just got her license. :D

Fun stuff. : )

Yeah I played it for like ten hours today... ...I have no life.

But it's gone now, my friend came and took back his xbox... then my other friend took back fable. It was a joint effort. : (

Did you beat it?

Or did you take the longer route and choose to feed your family have a good dog, etc.

I've been taking the extremely long route... Like... buy every house... spend an hour dying my shirt. Do EVERY side quest... I play it to death. >.>

Gah...

Y'know, after playing Fable for a few days, I really don't get what makes it so fantastic. *flame shield*

I've never been a big RPG guy though, maybe that's why. But yeah...I was actually considering selling it back to Gamestop (along with some other stuff) when GoW2 and Banjo come out...

..............

... =D

I like it because it's everything oblivion failed at, like, for instance... they both have an option of fast travel, to bring you where you need to go instantly. However, fable actually made me want to walk half the time... It has amazing level design. They went out of their way just to hide, say, a treasure chest in some cave you would normally overlook while at the same time maintaining the same amount of beauty they have in every other area. This game is worth owning simply to walk around and look at things. I've honestly never owned another game that made me enjoy every visual aspect of it. Unfortunately the people in towns are just as hollow and annoying as in oblivion, but at least they have semi-decent voice acting, and they don't change attitudes or voices nearly as much.

From what I played, Fable 1 had a much better story... ...Hammer is so annoying, and useless... I'm just happy they put a good amount of side-quests in it.

So to answer your question... it's fantastic because it's an RPG that allows you to do more than fight, but doesn't fail miserably at letting you do other things like oblivion does. I loved oblivion, but it's just shallow in comparison.
