Hello Guest.

If you're viewing this board that probably means someone invited you here.

That invitation is fairly exclusive-- Nobody is forcing you to join, but you've come this far already, why not see what we're about? Who knows. Maybe you'll like it.

Take a chance.

Every day from here on, I'm going to ramble on about something. Here's my first one.

The Virtual Console, like WiiWare, is a great concept. However, Nintendo is doing the bare minimum with the service. If you have the original game, there is nothing to gain from downloading the Virtual Console version of it. Pokemon Snap received a minor update, but not enough for me to re-purchase it. In addition to this, with a vast library of games spanning over half a dozen consoles, Virtual Console releases are limited to three, and recently, one or two games a week. The lifespan of the Wii will be over before all of the major titles can be released for each system.

On a side note, TurboGrafx16 is underrated. Bomberman '93 is the best title on the system, in my opinion, and there are plenty of excellent TG16 platformers and shooters that I have recently fallen in love with.

Anything you'd like to share on this topic?

SL92 rambles on.

Today's topic is F-Zero. It's been around for years, but doesn't have a fanbase like Mario's or Zelda's. You can almost compare it to Star Fox. F-Zero has had plenty of games over the years, from the Super Nintendo to the Gamecube, including three Game Boy Advance titles, two of which were released here.

Personally, I find the original Super Nintendo F-Zero to be the best. The graphics left a lot to be desired, the track design wasn't anything to write home about, but it had the most amazing sense of speed for a Super Nintendo game. That, and the nostalgia factor has a lot to do with it.

The future of F-Zero is a mystery to everyone. It hasn't had a new handheld or console installment for five years, though Captain Falcon has appeared in Brawl, so it doesn't look like Nintendo is giving up on him.

If nobody has anything to say, I don't mind, I'm posting this on other forums, too.

Palevi was here.
The problem with Nintendo is they have so many IP's, and only so much developer creativity. Not to mention the technical and gameplay limitations of the Wii.

I like F-Zero, but the only thing that keeps me from coming back is I just want weapons... Compared to something like Wipeout it just falls short of fun, Wipeout is great. Fast paced (not quite as much as F-Zero), and it's got the guns... Keeps me interested.
