Well, I'm pretty sure I've figured out my Xbox 360 to-buy list... for now, anyway.

Xbox 360, 60 gig
Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts
Soul Calibur IV
Viva Pinata 2
Beautiful Katamari
Sonic Unleashed (if reviews are decent)
Kameo: Elements of Power

Downloadable:

Ikaruga
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Rez HD
Prince of Persia Classic

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Comments/suggestions? I will get Orange Box, btw, but a little later... not interested in Halo or Gears of War. I know I'm missing a bunch of RPGs like Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon, but anything else of note?
Trust me, you'll end up giving Halo/Gears a chance somewhere down the road. I had the same mindset as you do right now, and ended up getting Halo later on anyway. xD
But your list looks pretty good so far. DEFINATELY Orange Box. DEFINATELY.
I mean, It's Half-Life. My favorite. =o
AHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHHA. Good one bul. : )
I guess you could put that money into something like Assassins Creed. That's a fun game.
I still want to play BioShock....
If you don't have the original Banjo Kazooie, you have to download that, too.
Bought both Banjo games when they came out, still play 'em occasionally.
But I'm still getting the 360 re-releases, because of Stop & Swap.
There are games that are much more... fun out there.
Sonic Unleashed (if reviews are decent)
They won't be.
Kameo: Elements of Power
Sucks.
Downloadable:
Ikaruga
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Rez HD
Prince of Persia Classic
Aegis Wing and Hexic HD are free, get those. I've had a ton of fun with Geometry Wars Evolved and Bomberman Live (only if you have XBL.)
Can you get M games? If not, the only online game that's really any fun and is rated T is BF: Bad Company.
As for offline, the best games are BioShock and Assassin's Creed.
Oh, and online:
Halo 3
Call of Duty 4 (fantastic offline, too... but short)
BF: Bad Company (terrible offline)
Gears of War 2
GTA IV (fun to just fuck around)
Yeah, I already cut Sonic and Kameo from my list, but Katamari? Nah... definitely getting that. I think I may be able to get it for like $15, so...
What's Aegis Wing, though? And didn't Retro Evolved 2 just come out?
Edit - Yeah, I can get M games.
Oh... yeah.
Aegis Wing was created by some interns or something at XBL Arcade. It's fun and free. It's a sidescrolling co-op spaceship shoot-em-up. If you play with three other people you can combine your ships and become more powerful, but less maneuverable. There are about 5 different power-ups, which also become more powerful when you combine.
