Nice! There's not much to the fighting though. Could you not do your Upspecial or Down special? Regardless everything else made me very happy I'm easily ammusedJust a few creative pointers on effects. -Can you have the characters shift White or Red when doing smashes? Instead of Yellow. -Maybe the fly should fly around on Karoshi's upsmash when charging it, instead of just sittin' there, though it doesn't matter much. -Can you make Karoshi's legs move faster when he's running compared to when walking Some things I definitly liked where the sound test thingy, though Having music in it would be better :P. And I liked Karoshi's Combo a ton! And I did liked the Turning effect for the car, I don't know why I didn't sprite it, but I probably wouldn't be creative enough to make it look flat like you pulled off. Can't wait for the next demo ![]() Edit: Oh and tell me if I got the "Easter Egg" right Spoiler: click to toggle

Nice, was pretty glitchy though. Jumping on top of the car will cause Karoshi to appear directly above it and fall continuously, his smash attacks hit from far away, and the camera didn't work too well in the Assassin Blue stage. Also, it won't let me quit without CtrlAltDel. |

waah? I only could get to the battle field, how do you swich stages??? also yet again off topic I just played the Descent, and It was really really good. Link what are we adding from this game? The thing that follows you around as an assist? like it just gets in the way of a character and annoys him. Or a descent stage? Or a game in the story mode/ Adventure mode where you have to climb down then up?

I agree with the faults that were found. I should have worked on this more, but I didn't get much time this week. I figured I'd post this so I'd have more, I dunno, inspiration(?) to continue. Also, the reason for no up/down special was because I'm still deciding how it should work. Oh, and the easter egg was in fact the Assassin Blue stage, although it was more of a side-scrolling test for story/adventure mode than an actual level. I guess the one clown spotted was another one. EDIT: I'm making a scrolling Descent stage that features the monster thing, incase you were wondering. Edited by andrew, Jul 2 2009, 04:03 PM.

It runs fast! I'm happy =) the menu and loading is awesome too, the battle system still feels a little slow but it's pretty good. Especially the movement was slow. And it takes a LOT of attacking to get someone off even without them fighting back, but it's definably the best it's ever been! Good job. |

Thanks Kamen. Karoshi is meant to be an average speed character, so that may be the problem. I'm still working on it though, so I'll remember these suggestions. Oh, and I'm not sure, but did I put the GM Smash ball thing in he demo? I'll have to check... |

Karoshi did have a down smash, but I'm kinda confused if that answers your question Siper. As far as I know he didn't have a down or up special though (maybe I just wasn't skilled enough to pull em off...) And to Andrew yes you did add the smash ball, but it was only in Riley's Castle -I'd update the glow effect for the ball. -some of the physics could maybe be tweaked but it still looked alright. -It doesn't do anything yet right? lol I spent a bit too much time hittin' it over and over again... Gosh I'm pumped |

Well done, though the knockback system seems a little sticky... So, no up or down specials yet? And will you be implementing drop-through controls to pass through the platforms? It could be done by double-tap down...which would be easier to remember seeing that double-tap left/right uses a dash, or you can use a down jump combo, which would also be simple to learn... Do you have plans for a zoom camera? In other news, I put up a poll in a GMCSSB project, that seems to be dying, to determine the fate of the engine...I will see what happens there... |

We decided against a zoom camera, anything that'll distort these sprites is bad! I like the Camera as it is, we just might need to make multiple respawn points that are active depending where the view is (in big rooms like Riley's Castle) OH and Xerron, can I get a link to said game? I knew he had a normal up and down smash, but I was asking if he had a special up or down smash, but I don't think he has, as no one has said anything about what they do. |

It is actually a secret project...so, the poll will determine what will happen next... But it is very likely that we will make the engine/website public soon...so, just wait until I have the results/permission... True, zoom camera can distort the sprite...but when the engine is released you can explore what we did with it... |
