Nick Hamblin

Now that we've got ourselves a shiny new website - let's keep it interesting! Too often these things are left to wither and die, so let's keep it up to date. I'll bring my camera along on saturday to get some pics of the reserves to go on there - it'd be nice to have a team pic like the first team one that is up, and maybe even get some footage of Dave scoring another 30-yarder! (or slicing it into our own net as the case may be .bigg. )

Also, it'd be good to keep the man of the match award going, as well as maybe even getting people to write match reports. If we take turns then it reduces the workload, even if it's only a paragraph long or even completely biased towards the author! Here's a likely exert from the Redcliffe game:

'Striker Nick Hamblin wowed fans by scoring all 15 goals in GHS's thrashing of Redcliffe - his performance drawing comparisons to giants of the games, such as Pele, Maradona and Ali Dia.

His 15th goal - a run from his own penalty area - was greeted by rapturous applause from Kiera Knightly, with the press speculating the two are something of an item. One bystander claims she flashed the 6'6" striker as he celebrated.

Also in the crowd was Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, who left his sides game against Liverpool at half time in order to go on the scouting trip. United are now reported to have made a club record offer of a crate of beer, two dirty movies and a box of kleenex, which manager Phil Wilton is expected to grab with both hands.'
