In a bit the kids and I are leaving for bowling. After that I have to get Steven's clarinet to the shop to be repaired even though they can't work on it until Monday. Then I need to hit a store or two (got to get as much done while I the car for the day). Last but not least come home and prepare some snacks and finger foods as my oldest son is bringing his new girlfriend over to meet me and the kids. Zach told me last night that she is a nervous about meeting me. LOL. From what I have heard, she is really nice and the complete opposite of Joey (the last GF). Tomorrow will be football day. And my team better win for once. :beg :beg Have a good weekend all. |

I'm gathering up stuff for my mom's annual yard sale next week. The rural road she lives on hosts an eleven mile yard sale the first weekend of October. This is the third year and we're expecting it to be a huge success! |

That sounds like fun Paula. I have to admit, I really like Zach's new GF. She has even offered to help out with the halloween party. Go figure. She love crafts and help kids. She and Destiny hit it right off. Change of plans for me this weekend . Steven has a buddy spending the night. I guess the skateboard ramp is a huge hit and tomorrow the kids get to paint and decorate it. But I still am watching football and the Rams finally better win this weekend. I will just be watching football here at home. |

I spent yesterday driving to Charleston and back to see my doctor. And as always, I am healthy. My BP was 109/74, my A1C for my blood sugar was 5.7 (anything under 7.0 is considered really good) and my cholesteral is doing great. I have gain a few pounds but it was alot less than I expected so that's good as well. Today I am relaxing. Driving just wears me out. |

We're cleaning up after Hurricane Ike. We didn't get power back on til Thursday. 12 days without power was a little more than I expected. Need to stock up on some things from the grocery store.....however, most don't have much since they had to throw cold stuff out. I'm thankful I had a stocked pantry.....or we wouldn't of been able to eat for those days. Aggie's stepmother called this morning and his dad isn't doing to well. Not expected to live to much longer....he's 87. So, we're getting ready for that call and trip to Florida and services in Michigan. Today I'm still doing laundry from everything that got soaked during the storm. We did have a little roof, tree damage.....but not a lot. Neighbor down the street had a tree fall on his brand new car. It'll get better....it usually does and I can't see it getting much worse around Houston. |

We had a beautiful fall day Saturday. So we drove to Hood River, Or and did the "fruit loop". We drove to the various farms and wineries. When we got home, we decided to drive north to a WA casino. We had a blast for my rare Saturday off. Today I have to work |
