This link shows a gorilla on a building, but it could be modified. It also shows a "mask" (I guess you paint the person's face): http://jas.familyfun.go.com/arts-and-crafts?page=CraftDisplay&craftid=11275

I found that one too. Destiny wants to be a gorilla for our Halloween party. But the theme is homemade costumes only. She had to pick the hardest costume...lol

The party planning has been fun. Everything homemade or things we already have on hand (I have quite a few decorations). Destiny is sewing together bags for her friends to decorate for trick or treat bags. And for Steven and his friends we are trying to build a skateboard ramp in the back yard. So far we have had a lot of fun planning and making but Destiny's costume is going to be a bit difficult.

Use a brown sweat suit and add a pink stomach and some large brown mittens. Then add some ears and a tail. Finally the mask should finish it off. That is the simplist way I know how to do it. I've done the same thing with a white sweat suit and bunny ears.

I need to try to talk her into something else.

I had this brilliant idea. I had an old black couch in the playroom that was beat up in a few places, I figured I could use a metal brush and fluff up the fabric. SO yesterday I thought that since I made a big point to the kids on using items we already have around the house....reuse. Make something new. I took the big old couch into the back yard and figured the black material would work for pieces of Destiny's costume and the wood inside the couch could be used for a support frame for the skate board ramp. Well the material kept ripping in strips as I was taking it off and now I need a saw to take the couch apart.

The wood I will be still able to use, the material is a lost cause, well most of it. And the cushions are in the garbage.

So much for bright ideas...lol
