Since fat women who are flat chested cannot wear baby doll tops without looking 9 months pregnant, I have decided to start sewing again. I found a pattern on the internet ($15.00) that was unique. And then of course, I had to buy a kitchen table since I gave mine up when I moved (it was a little on the falling apart side). So that was $500. And finally I found the fabric store to die for in Gastonia, NC. It is 32,000 square feet of fabric. I could have spent a week in there and not seen it all. I ended up buying silk embroidered drapery fabric ( I won't tell you how much it was but I should never have spent that much).

All I have to say is this is the most expensive top I have ever made. It better look really good.

I may have to go back there next weekend. Who needs food when you can buy fabric and sew!!

I didn't know you liked to sew! I'd also love to see a picture of the finished product.

I wish I could get motivated to sew. I picked up material over a month ago to make new curtains for my office, but haven't gotten around to it. I've had the supplies to finish my king sized quilt for about three years. I haven't gotten motivated to finish it yet either. I always feel so proud of myself when I finish a project, so I don't know why I can't get motivated to finish these things.

Make sure you post pictures for us. Maybe it will give me the inspiration that I need to get busy with the sewing machine again.

Unfortunately I am one of the few people in America who doesn't own a camera and who doesn't take pictures. I just never felt the need to keep pictures.
