Teen Killed in Wetzel County Dirt Bike Accident

Police said teen was not wearing a helmet.

READER -- A Wetzel County teen is dead after a dirt bike accident on Crowes Run Road near Reader.


Sheriff James Hoskins said the 17 year-old male was not wearing a helmet and suffered severe head and neck injuries.


Officials said the accident happened around four this afternoon.


The teen was pronounced dead at the Wetzel County hospital.

He seems to be handling it okay. Thanks for asking. He isn't saying much about it but I can tell that he is upset and hurting. I am keeping an eye on him and letting him know that I am here for him. I think that he will be okay, as things start getting back to normal at school.
