The Munchkin who played the Mayor is alive and living in a nursing home in Florida. If you love the movie, you can share your memories with the Mayor. Below is his address and his date of birth. Meinhard T. Raabe P.O. Box 913 Penny Farms, Florida 32079 Birthdate: 9-2-15 |

Cool. Thanks. When I was younger, it was always a big event when the Wizard of Oz was televised, I think once a year. My dad would get us kids all excited, make us popcorn and shakes. Then we would all sit down and watch it as a family. I miss those times. |

Please, my younger sister is obsessed. She has a Wizard of Oz party once a year and has all of the Wizard of Oz christmas decorations. And if you get really bored, she has the Wizard of Oz board game. And she has a pair of ruby slippers. I don't think she wears them, but she has them just in case she needs to get home. HAHAHA!! |

He wasn't the Mayor. He was the coroner. Also, his name is spelled like this: Meinhardt Raabe.

When I was a teenager a little cousin moved in with us while his dad went overseas. This kid was the biggest Wizard Of Oz fan and I blame my dad for turning himonto this movie. My little cousin watched that movie so many times when it came out on tape, he knew every scene, every line and every song. He could act along with the movie word for word. |

My GD is a huge fan. A lady in their town made her a Dorothy dress to go with her ruby red slippers. |

You're right. She did say coroner and I just don't type and translate things that well. |
