We had a great time and were only there an hour and a half! Being first in meant there were no long lines all backed up, etc.

The small clay jug I took was valued at $200-$300, more if we can track down the maker (it isn't marked so that's probably impossible).

The land deed to my parents' place wasn't actually signed by T. Roosevelt, it was signed by his land secretary, but still had an insurance value of $600-$800.

The violin was a retail copy and had no value. The old postal scale was worth $150 and the small brass scale was worth $50.

Best of all I got to talk with Leslie Keno (very VERY nice man). He signed my book and took it to his brother (who was in the middle of an appraisal) and got him to sign it!

Since we were finished by 9:30 a.m. my sister and I spent the rest of the day antique shopping in Chattanooga.

I'm glad to hear that. You never know if you have something of great value or something that is unique until you ask. My mom has a bunch of English porcelein that she bought from a store in England that was trying to get rid of some old stock. Knowing the store owner was the son of the son, I am sure some of these pieces are worth a great deal but he sold them for nothing. She has a hot chocolate set that is beautiful and a pitcher and bowl set with all of the pieces including the piece that holds a man's shaving brush. I would love to know what they are really worth.

Warehouse Row is easy to find. It's real close to the Convention Center.
