I'm finally going to see my mom tomorrow. I'll be back late Monday, really late if I decide to go see Jesse while in AL.

It was a quick, but good, trip. I did go see Jesse and really loaded up on stuff at my mom's. We picked blueberries, peaches and apples. Mama also gave me a jar of the blueberry jelly she'd just made, plus tomatoes from her garden (my tomatoes didn't do well this year). I told Don it looked like I'd been to the farmer's market!

Sounds like you had a good trip. I thought of you while I was at the store on Sat. I passed by the blueberries and can you believe a 2 lb container was almost 8 dollars. I almost fell over.

My mom always digs up new blueberry sprouts in February and I am going to mail you some to plant. They take a few years to start producing, but will survive mailing much better than some blueberries will! A couple years ago I mailed sprouts to a friend in Virginia and hers are doing great.

Thanks but I don't think they would grow well here. At least I don't know of anyone who grows them or has tried. This year the gardens in this area have been terrible. My tomatos didn't do all that well as with my cucumbers. Oh and my peach tree produced a total of 7.

Everyone I've talked with had bad tomatoes this year.
