Earlier today the principal from the elementary school gave me a call. He was having a hard time speaking without laughing. I thought for sure Steven had pulled something being the last day of school. I was wrong. This morning the yearbooks were passed out and the students were allowed to take them around and have other kids sign them. However they were warned in advance that nobody was allowed to write anything offensive in another students yearbook, if that happen the owner of the yearbook was suppose to go straight to the principal and report the offender. My goodie goodie daughter had a girl who happens to be in the same grade as my son sign her book. Well this 5th grade girl wrote a message that went something like this..... "Destiny have a fun summer and be glad we don't have homework for awhile. I think your brother is HOTT." Destiny didn't like that message and marched right to the principals office to let him know she did not appreciate her brother being called hot. I thought the principal was going to bust a gut. He said he kept a straight face and told Destiny he would put the writer on a list. :rofl Destiny didn't tell me any of this but I did ask to see her yearbook and, well she scribbled out the offending message. :rofl Edited by Cabann, Jun 6 2008, 08:40 PM.

It sounds like she is out to protect her brother. If that was my DD she would have used that as something to tease her big brother about. :rofl |

As we were eating dinner last night, I brought up the phone call. Destiny said she felt that Steven being called hot was offensive to her and she just didn't like it. She went on to explain that he just wasn't (hot). I then looked at my son an asked him if he knew who this girl was and he said yes. She is always playing with his hair. Steven is all boy and doesn't find girls too much fun right now. Give him another year and his whole attitude is going to change. |

Sounds like Destiny doesn't think her brother is "hot". At that age they don't. Soon the tables will be switched and someone will say to Steven that his sister is a "hottie" and he will say something like no she's not, she's ugly. Mostly it's a sibling thing and it will pass. But it is funny with the principal telling you. I'd have busted a gut laughing. :rofl |

I have been a parent at that school for 15 years, with no break, and still have two more years to go. They have called me for the funniest things. I will never forget the time Steven was in 1st grade and someone from the office staff called me having a hard time speaking because she was laughing so hard. She ended up putting Steven on the phone to tell me his problem. He was in reading class when his private area started feeling funny. He told his teacher, who sent him to the office which started the phone calls. When they put my son on the phone and he told me about his, ummmm, funny feeling I asked him if he needed to go potty. Which he didn't. I asked him what he was doing at the time he was having the strange sensation. He said just reading a book. I told him to go back to class but before he does to put Darlene back on the phone. As soon as he walked out the door I could hear all the office staff laughing. WHen Darlene got back on the phone all I could ask her was "What type of books is he reading?". Ever since that moment you would not believe the things Steven has pulled or said. Zach and Dustin were model students. All the teachers were shocked with Steven's behavior. Destiny takes after her older brothers in classroom behavior. Thank Goodness. I don't think the school or myself could handle another one like that. He is very well liked and tries to be a friend to all but he is a clown which gets him into trouble. It wasn't until the last couple month of this school year that he started paying attention in class and staying on task. It was the threat of losing a ton of activities and such that got him rethinking his behavior. Also a few weeks of grounding seemed to help. |

Send your son my way.....I wouldn't mind looking at a "hottie" for a minute or two.....jk. I think it's funny....... :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( When my brother was in school girls used to call him just to "chat".....of course they had all their girlfriends with them and in their own way were flirting. To this day that boy still didn't get it.....the notes, flowers, praises he would get from young girls. Yes, I teased him about it. Edited by Lookslikealady, Jun 7 2008, 06:31 PM.
