I am taking a breather right now since I have been going nonstop since last Friday and will not get a chance to relax until next Sunday night. I have been working hard trying to get this house ready for Dustin's graduation party and as of yesterday we have finished the painting. Jay finished the outside trim and I finished up the kitchen and bathroom. That was on top of having a breakfast meeting yesterday with Dustin's gf parents..that was a lot of fun(NOT), that lasted a good 2+ hours. What a waste of time. The rest of this week is going to be crazy. Today cleaning out the playroom and starting to decorate it, tomorrow I am chaparoning a field trip for Steven and Destiny's band. We leave at 9 and won't return until 3 (an end of the year party), Wednesday is an award presentation at the elementary school in which Destiny is getting an award, Thursday Dustin graduates and my in laws are showing up here about 5 hours early ( :reaction ), Friday and Saturday will be more cleaning and decorating. And also on Saturday I have to start cooking and prepairing food and hopefully finish by Sunday morning. My son's graduation party is planned for 1 pm on Sunday. This is the last week of school for the kids. I have mixed feelings about that. It will be nice not to have so many activities going on all the time. No more projects, no more performances :cheer . BUt having them home all day, I think that will get old rather quickly :D Well have a good week all and wish me luck. I hope I make it through this week. Paula, did you get that last picture text message..Steven holding his float with his 2nd place ribbon hanging from a boat. (He wanted me to ask you). Not too bad placing 2nd out of almost 70 students. He was happy. The next picture you will get of him his hair will be much shorter (not past his shoulders). Time for a hair cut for that boy!! I just need to find time this week to take him in, he is getting tired of being called a girl :rofl |

I'm telling you, I am beat. I am finally sitting down to eat something while jay has the three kids at bowling league. I still need to get some yard and housework finished tonight because I completely forgot about the Senior breakfast early tomorrow morning.Luckily Corky called for band tomorrow so I can get the kids to school by 7 am and head to the breakfast with Dustin. My MIL called and she and Jay's brother will be here around 1 or 2 and graduation doesn't start until 7. . Oh and for good news and bad (well kind of bad..good for the kids) While I was at the awards presentation at the kids school (Destiny received an award for academic achievement, almost a perfect report card is heading my way according to her teacher) I found out Steven has brought his grades up and doesn't have to attend summer school :cheer . That's the good news. However Corky said Steven is section leader next year for band (clarinet section, Steven is playing at a high level, he is really good and Destiny is catching up with him quickly) and he wants to work with the kids three days a week in the summer. He still wants them to play clarinet but also wants Steven to play trumpet and Destiny the flute. Normally Corky charges for lessons but since he is expecting the band to be small next year and he knows the kids can handle two parts in band he is willing to start working with them so they will have the two new instruments down before the next school year starts. Now on the bad note, I was informed not to purchase the instruments off the internet. He is going to start checking around for used instruments. So as soon as we can find a trumpet and flute he will start working with them. I could rent them but I think it will be cheaper in the long run just purchasing used ones. He has already sent home some books. Kids are happy, I am glad Steven gets to finially play the trumpet and Destiny the flute, but not so thrilled with classes during the summer. If Corky had it his way the kids would start next week. Well I need to get myself moving again, my goal is to get all the work done before bowling is over. Once the kids get home, and cleaned up, they are going to bed. Same with me. Today was busy, tomorrow is going to be even more hectic. And I still can't find time to get Steven in for a haircut. It's in the 90's here and I am locking myself in the house this weekend and clean. Last weekend I was sick so nothing got done. And even poor old Claire, my dog, won't go out and walk. It's too hot for her. |

It's almost noon and I have everything finished that I needed to get done for today :cheer :cheer . Tomorrows a different story but at least for the rest of today I get to kind of relax. In laws should be here soon. And the rest of Dustin's guests (he was only allowed 10 ticket for graduation) will be her around 4. We are all going out to eat and then I will drop Steven, Destiny and Jays brother off here and head to the high school. I took pictures of my graduate in his cap and gown and took them into be printed off. He looks so grown up. I am going to be in tears tonight when his name is called. That boy has put me through so much but I am really proud of him. Oh Yeah. He made it through HIGH SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now onto college. Edited by Cabann, Jun 5 2008, 02:09 PM.

Gosh you worer me out jusst reading all you have to do and must still do this week. You are doing more in one week than this old lady does in a month of Sundays. I'm sure you will pull it all together and everyone will have a wonderful time. Just glad I'm not going to be there, no much commotion for me. Good luck. :cheer |
