I woke up early this morning to pressure on my right side of my rib cage near the bottom. When the pressure lets up a sharp shooting pain shoots up towards my colar bone. I can't shake it and the more active I am the more it happens. It is rather uncomfortable. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I do need to add that I can't go to the doctor for two reason's. One (I am embarrassed to say) I don't have health insurance. We can't afford it. Everyone else is covered. The older boys through their dad, Steven and Destiny through Healthy Families and Jay through his work. The cost of living is so high in CA unless I can get a job, that won't change and that brings me to the second reason, I don't have acsess to transportation today. Everyone is busy. Starting tomorrow I will have my mom's car for a week but today I am stranded. Edited by Cabann, May 16 2008, 10:15 AM.

I get that sometimes when I lift and pull something. I did that last week when I bent over and lifted up a big fan. The pain is so bad it hurts to take a deep breath.Sometimes a heating pad helps. I took some aleve and tried to relax and it was gone in a few hours.Good luck hope you feel better soon. Oh try soaking in a hot tub. |

Could be a pulled muscle...could be gallstones. Could be any number of things. I hope you feel better soon! |

Sounds like gallstones to me. I had that same pain until I had my gallbladder removed. |

Thanks for the info. At least I can research a few things. I feel really tired and if this makes sense, my body feels heavy. I am going to get some rest before I have to walk up to the corner to meet up with the kids after school. |

Sorry to hear you're feeling bad. Do you have a clinic near you that will provide care based on a sliding fee scale according to your income? You might check with the health dept in your county to see if they know of one. |

Good idea Tina I will check into that if the pain keeps getting worse. At least I will have transportaion next week. As I was taking the laundry off the close line the pain was so intense that I almost went to my knees. I am not sure what actually triggers it. Sometimes it hurts when I am stretching, sitting, standing, walking, or bending. Other times it doesn't. I kind of more worried about the weak feeling. I have such a busy weekend, this has to be gone by tomorrow.

I am feeling better so far this morning, the pressure and pain isn't as bad but it is still there. I just started moving and trying to get the three kids up and going for this parade. I am so not looking forward to this. I never did find anyone else to help with the banner so it will be just Jay and I. I hope I am up to walking that far. |

Look, if you go to the emergency room and they put you in the hospital, you can just claim that you don't have any insurance and you can't pay the bill. The hospital will be a real PIA but they will write it off. So don't just sit there in pain. |
