We'll have a blast! I just wish we could have gotten another ticket so my sister could go with us. She is going to be so mad that she doesn't get to go. I hope she will go with us on the trip though. She could go shopping while we are there. Then we could do some other fun things and make a weekend of it. |

My sister just worked on the one in Lexington KY and she said it was a blast. Take something good and old. Or just something mysterious. You could end up on TV!!! |

I think we've narrowed it down to these items: Mama wants to take her land deed which was signed by Teddy Roosevelt when he was president. She's also thinking about taking a German flintlock musket that has ivory inlays on the stock. I have no idea where Daddy got it, but can remember him making a musket ball and firing it once. I was about eight, so it's been in the family 40 years now. I am going to take a very small stoneware jug. In my Homer Laughlin book these are described as being salesmen samples and no price is listed because they are so rare. I am also taking a collection of WWI items that were in a trunk on my parent's place when they bought it 42 years ago. I always claimed the trunk as my own. It was full of old photos and trinkets from the turn of the century through the 1920's (including some costume jewelry, a crochet "flapper" dress, etc.). I have a bunch of WWI stuff from the trunk and have no idea if it's valuable or not. Edited by Ravenlost, May 12 2008, 04:00 PM.
