Erm.. Cluck?

I'm starting to find that getting up in the morning is getting increasingly more difficult - I feel like shit, quite often feel like I'm going to throw up, and generally feel weak and dizzy, and this is without any alcolohol/drugs consumption - Does anyone else get this, or if not do you hav any tips? |

Getting up in the Morning 101 Set your alarm the night before. When you wake up, don't turn off your alarm when it goes off. Get up and out of bed first. Make your bed or whatever and then shut off your alarm. The longer you stay in bed the worse you'll feel. So don't laze in the bed, force yourself into action. Don't shower right away. Go ahead and get yourself some breakfast to eat. Watch a bit of TV while you do if you'd like. When you're done, head to your bathroom and get cleaned up. You've now officially got yourself up and out of bed. Chances are you'll still feel terrible, but at least you're up. Forcing yourself is one of the ways, as I have demonstrated, of making sure you get up. After a while though, you do start feeling a little more awake and less crummy. just me though. I'll wait for someone else to throw their bit in. |

Thanks for the tips, I'll give that a go tomorrow morning - I have a habit of "snoozing" the alarm for a good hour before I got up, I love the feeling of turning over and going back to sleep, when I was younger I used to set my alarm for 3am just so I could go back to sleep! Eating seems to be the key thing in your routine, I might try that as I'm loosing a ton of weight at the moment for no good reason, got a Doctors appointment in a week or two so they can try and work out what's wrong. |

I know. great feeling to just go back to sleep. It actually helps me to have an extra hour of sleep. depending on the time, though.any amount of sleep over 8 hours makes me feel terrible though. @.@ Must be why I stay up so late and get up so early. |

Over 8 hours? Why is that? I know there is a delicate balance of hours you are supposed to find so you don't feel like crap, but I haven't found it yet. What's the least you can sleep before things start getting terrible? |

I went a whole night without sleeping. I actually felt less tired that when I went to sleep for two hours. (I just stated the obvious a lot) If I'm only asleep for 4 or 3 hours, I really don't want to get out of bed. but to the same effect if I force myself to get up, I'll get up. it'll just take longer for me to feel awake. If it's two or even 1 hour of sleep I will most likely not even hear my alarm and keep sleeping. |

Lol - You just wait, when you are an old timer like me, you'll start needing 12 hours again, and you'll need a whiskey, pipe, and slippers for any hope of a kip. ![]() A whole night without sleeping? Damn! How did you manage? I did it once, stayed up all night playing Red Faction on the PS2, but ended up passing out at about 10am the following morning.

I had strenuous work the next day. You tell me. I'm like a living miracle. After 11 straight days of work In a row, I finally got a day off and it felt bizarre to not be working and to be rested and not moving my arm a thousand times in the same day. |

Agreed. I slept 6 hours yesterday, got up and wasn't tired or anything. Today I slept about 10 hours and I'm soooo tired... <_< I just don't like getting up.. |

I don't know, I get 6 hours of sleep and I'm usually fine... But I do find I'm more tired if I stay in bed longer. |
