In The Previous Chapter: The group of Leaf Shinobi sent to retrieve Naruto are surprised to find out that he is not within the Hidden Mountain of the Toads. Hurrying to get back from the Mountain with a scroll of vital information, they ran across the Moon Village Shinobi Hinoiri, who joined the team to provide extra support. Near the end of the trip, Shairui leaves the team, casting a Genjustu to make it seem as though he never left. When they arrived at Konoha, lo and behold, it was under attack by Shinobi from the Rock Village! They joined the battle, and soon Konoha was left sound, though the team suffered its losses. The Hokage soon sent Yuki and Konjou on a mission to retrieve a special Shinobi from the Rock Village, but Yuki, tired of waiting, left on his own. He found and saved the Shinobi from assassination in the Rock Village, and with his Owl Summonings, the pair soon arrived back at Konoha. There, Yuki was again sent out after a short nights rest with Naruto's Apprentice, Daith Kui, to infiltrate the Village Hidden in Rain. Within this next Chapter, the events within the Rain Village unfold; Downpour of Shadows! Daith Kui and Yuki Hane had been traveling on the backs of Yuki's Owl Summonings for over half an hour in complete silence. Daith had resumed his mediation on the back of the Owl, prefering to not use the Green Murder Seal while on the back of a companion, as the drain of the Natural Energy along with the normal chakra would soon cause the Owl to die. The Ice Nin was seemingly willing to let Daith mediate in peace, but Daith was already capable of doing enough damage with his current Chakra Levels, and if a fight ever came, the Green Murder Seal would soon shorten the battle's life-span. It would be good to have some conversation on this quiet trip. The Owls silent wings were perfect for sneaking around, but Daith didn't see any need to be doing that. "Tell me about yourself Yuki," Daith said, not breaking his meditative stance. Though no more Nature Chakra entered him as he spoke, as he listened, the chakra would start seeping in again. Stillness... as still as he could achieve. It was still a good 3 hours to Ame no Kuni, and then fifteen minutes to the actual Village itself. |

Yuki was studying the blurred landscape as the two ninja sat upon flew. Daith, breaking the silence asked Yuki about himself. He sat silent for a minute and then answered the sage's apprentice. "Well, Daith... Where should I start?" He thought for another moment. "Hm... Ah, here we go.. Alright... I was born to the Hane Clan, a clan who had migrated to Konoha from Yukigakure no Sato to aide in some kind of Village Reconstruction... a bit fuzzy on the details... anyways. I was trained to use the sword at a young age, as all members of My clan are, the ones who become ninja anyways. I'm proficient in the Ice Release, My clan's kekkei genkai... This means I'm able to combine water and widn to create ice. Aside from that... I'm a pretty nice guy and I love barbecue meat... Eh. That's about it." Yuki took a breathe after his rather long explanation of himself to Daith. he could have went longer but chose not to. An idea struck his mind. One from earielr. "Hey Daith.. what sort of jutsu do You think You'd be able to teach me while we're on this mission? I mean, something You've learned from Uzumaki-dono..." The night air was chilled, and the moon was looming a pale color overhead. |

Daith blinked, and he chuckled. Teach the young boy Justu? Another minute passed as the Toadless Sage stretched his arms, and then his legs. "Naruto is a stupid one," he confided in Yuki, smiling softly with memories. Ah, how crazy the Toad Sage would act sometimes, especially around Sakura, the few times she had come to visit. "He taught me the Sage techniques, and how to form the basic Rasengan," oh, how much fun it had been to, after a single week, show off what it had taken Naruto three times that or more to master, "but aside from that, I was basically done. Honestly enough, even with my unique capabilities, the Sage form took most of my time with Naruto. No," Daith finished, "he didn't teach me much." He sighed, wistful. Those had been good times; and there had been good times after that. A minute passed, Daith Kui holding up a hand to hold off any possible thought Yuki might have had about speaking, before Daith turned again to the Chunnin. "I left after learning the Sage techniques, because with that and my Kekkai Genkai," smiled Daith kindly, his Rainbow irises focused on Yuki's golden ones, "I was a match for Naruto. It wasn't," he confessed, "that even of a deal. I had only mastered my Green Murder Seal, a justu of tremendous power, yes, but nothing like I have now..." Daith Kui's eyes seemed lost for a moment, as he recalled what was perhaps one of the most desperate times of his life. He sighed. "Naruto, on the other hand, could not use his forte in Sage Mode, the Kagebushin technique, nor could he merge with either of the Toads, a thing I found unnecessary with my Murder Technique. But, he had more experience than I did, and access to much more justu, while I, I was limited to the benefits of Sage Mode, the Murder Seal, and the Rasengan... though," he added with a mischievous smile, "I had made my own variant of the Rasengan even then that proved quite useful." He blinked, and his cheery tone disappeared as did all pleasant emotion from his face. "Don't think," he said warningly, "that I'll teach you anything like Rasengan. I havn't the patience to teach you, nor do you have the skill to learn quickly. No," continued Daith, focusing on Yuki, "no, I think I know the technique for you..." Daith clapped his hands together, summoning the chakra to his hands, dividing it in two, cutting deep, slicing thin, swirling fast yet very controlled, and just as fast as his clap he turned around to face backwards and thrust his right palm outwards. "Violent Wind Palm," he said matter-'o-factly, as the thin block of Wind Chakra, visible only to him, rushed outwards at incredible speeds to hit a tree far behind them; the tree cracked madly, and the wind went through it to blast furiously against the earth. The trees nearby swayed as the wind swirled upwards. The single tree that had cracked down the middle toppled over. Daith let the chakra in his left hand slowly die out. "You're not a Sage like me," he continued as though he had never left off, turning back to Yuki, "so you won't get as impressive results so easily. While I can easily kill two Shinobi with that technique, all you'd be able to do is break their rib cage; useful, but not as powerful. Though," he amended, "if you practice at it, as you grow, you should be able to kill at least one person with that justu. However," he continued, "I'm not going to teach you this justu so you can use it by itself. No, you, you," said Daith Kui with a broad smile, "are an Ice user! You should be able to modify the justu, so to freeze the wind even as it leaves your palm. A sword, a spear, of ice," laughed Daith, "traveling faster than you'd ever manage to get it yourself." Pwnsome, Daith thought to himself. Absolutely pwnsome. |

Raikou was back at the village looking for the Hokage to attempt to get a mission. He was currently in the Hokage's mansion in his office. He looked out the window nearest him to see 2 of Yuki's owls flying away, probably towards Ame by the looks of it. The Hokage wasn't there so he went to look for him. He walked out of his office and into the hallway, Konohamaru was walking down the hall towards him. " Oh shit." The Hokage saw him and called to him. "You! Who are you?" Raikou replied. "I am Raikou Tategami, I was with the group of Chuunin who went to Myobokuzan. Hokage-sama I know your probably busy right now, but I saw Yuki Hane flying towards Ame no Kuni. I tend to work really well with Yuki and I would be able to catch up to him with my personal summoning. Do you think you could qssign me to that mission Hokage-sama, I have no missions currently and since there going to Ame, I could probably help considering I use mostly Raiton, and since it rains there often I could be very useful in battle. The Hokage looked at him for a minute and began to speak. "Fine, you may go, Daith Kui is accomping Yuki on the mission. When you catch up to him. Tell him I sent you for brefing and back-up. "Yes Hokae-sama." Raikou left the mansion with his usaual dumb grin on his face. He walked a little bit towards Yuki had took off for Ame. As he got there, he made the right hand-signs and slamed his hand on the ground. A lion appeared at his side walking along side him. The lion was tall and muscular for a lion. He spoke in a low but calm voice "What is it now Raikou?" "Banrai, we have a mission to go on, we will be accomping Yuki Hane and Daith Kui on a mission in Ame no Kuni. We have to catch up to them though, shouldn't be to hard right?" "Ha, no sir, I haven't been on a mission with you for 3 months, these bones need to go again." Raikou hopped on Banrai's back with ease. "Well let's go Banrai." The lion shot off in the direction of Ame. Banrai could easily catch up to Yuki's owls. |

Toan was walking by the mansion and he saw Raikou riding away on a lion. "Hey Raikou!" Raikou continued to ride away. "He must be going on a mission." Toan looked upand barely saw the outline of two huge owls. "Those must be Yuki's. I wonder whos on that other owl." Toan walked into the mansion. The Hokage walked up to him. "Aren't you one of the ninja went to find naruto with Yuki?" "Yes Hokage-sama. I was just looking for a mission. Maybe I could catch up with Raikou. He might need help with what hes doing, and if he gets hurt, it wouldn't be good if he were by himself." "He's actually trying to catch up with Yuki and Daith Kui." "Oh, Well, Could I go?" "One more couldnt hurt on this mission. They are going to Ame no Kuni. Tell them i sent you. Now hurry or you won't be able to catch up." Toan ran home. as fast as he could he knew if he was to catch up he would need a summoning jutsu. "Dad, i need that summoning jutsu fast. I don't need the tattoo just a scroll would be fine, but i need it as fast as i can get it." "You seem in a rush i wont get in your way" Toan followed his dad and got the scroll. "I've told you the handsigns right?" "Yes. I need to go now. Bye." Toan went outside and summoned Kotaka. "I need to catch up with someone. They are going to Ame no kuni." Toan climbed on his back and they flew as fast as they could to catch up to Yuki, Daith, and Raikou. |

Raikou was now riding through one of that vast forests on his way to Ame no Kuni. He was riding atop Banrai the Tategami family lion. They were just 10 minutes behind Yuki and his owls at this point. Banrai decided to sprint the first 5 minutes. Banrai was very fast for his age and size. He was well over 300 lbs but sprints up to speeds of 75 or higher. Rai was riding atop Banrai when a tree blocked their path. Banrai challanged Raikou. "Hehe how much you wanna bet I can smash this tree by running through it. HOLD ON!" Banrai ran for the tree full speed. But on impact the tree disappeared in a cloud of smoke. ~POOF~ Then a sharp blow came to the left side of his body knocking him off Banrai. He fell to the ground but back-rolled into a fighting stance. "What the hell?" 4 ninja appeared in front of Rai and Banrai. Banrai was probably 10 feet away at this point. 2 facing each. They were on their own now. Rai unsheathed Akki Kiraand readied himself for the upcoming battle. One of the rogue's spoke in a low voice. "Give us all ya cash!" Rai was quick to react. He disappeared and appeared behind this man. "....dumbass." He shoved Akki Kira through the back of this ninja. The other would be just as easy. "HAHA I haven't been in a fight in a while!" Rai charged for the second shinobi. "Hibana Tansen!" Akki Kira was now envoloped in lightning. He went for an easy cut on this shinobi. He aimed high for the head. But the shinobi easily dodged and attempted a sweep. rai jumped over this easily. As Rai was coming down from the jump, he went for a downward cut. This missed and his opponent was now behind him. Rai threw a back kick and sent the ninja flying about 5 feet. Rai chased after him. He stuck his sword into the ground next to his now knocked out opponent. He grabbed his sheath and stuck that into the ground next to him also. He then grabbed his spare blade from inside the sheath and placed it in somewhat of a triangle formation. The blades were in a close vecinity now so he decided to do his newly learned jutsu. "Raiton: Kaminari Shibari!" Lightning now surrounded this man. The blades and the sheath were used as condustors so that he could do one of his favorite jutsu. Lightning Release: Thunder Binding. The rogue at this point was like a baby in a playpen. Raikou wanted to finish him off. His opponent couldn't even move at this point becuase of how close the objects were. But how stupid of his opponent to try to move. ~ZZZZZZZZZ~ The walls made a crackling sound as the rogue was eletrocuted by the pure lightning. "Dumbass." Rai grabbed the conductors from the ground and out them away. He turned around to see Banrai injured and on the ground to others were slain but left Banrai with fatal wounds. "BANRAI!" He ran to Banrai. Banrai was still breathing so he assumed that he was injured. Nothing fatal. "Well looks like were resting for a while... dammit. Looks like Yuki and Daith are gonna have to wait." |

The Youth chuckled at the Daith's remark. He was thinking of what he said about the technique the Sage's apprentice showed Him. After a few more minutes, Yuki had thought that in exchange for him being taught this jutsu, he could teach Daith something, something He developed himself. Growing closer the Fire Countries border, Yuki gave His owls a command. "Fly slower, and lower. Keep your eyes peeled for anything, be it enemy ninja, or a large animal." " Aye, no prob'lem Yuki.." "Daith... why not take a little detour from our flight to Amegakure no Sato? You can teach Me that technique and I'll teach You a jutsu I developed on My own, something You could probably master easily." Yuki scanned the area, adding an extra pair of eyes to His owls' search effort. Another several minutes, and Kanchi had spotted a team of ninja going the same way they were, Kanchi flew a little further downward and saw that they were Ame-Nin, probably returning back to thier fvilalge from a mission. "Hey, Sage. We it looks like we've run into some ninja to test out these new justu on." Yuki smirked, making the correct handsigns, He stood up on Kanchi and suddenly began to run off of Him. The youth formed disks of wind chakra that kept his steps in the air has he ran towards the Ame group. He ordered His owls to keep up with Him after he began running, in mid air. |

The owls were getting closer to Toan. "Finaly, I'm catching up. I should get there in a couple minutes." The owls were starting to fly lower. Toan noticed somone jumping off one of the owls. He actually was running on the air. "I think that's Yuki. If he's fighting someone, I'm gonna catch up. Takaboushi!" Toan tried to see what was going on up ahead. He saw Yuki in mid-air above a couple of ninja. Probably from Amegakure. On the other owl there was a ninja wearing ANBU armor. "That must be Daith Kui. Hm. Is he just attacking them? I don't think they know he's there. Speed up Kotaka. I can see them." "Sure thing" They sped up to reach them. |

Daith Kui couldn't believe his eyes when he saw Yuki rushing towards combat. This guy was a chunnin, right? Why the hell was he attacking?! Since the Ame-nin hadn't seen them yet, it would have made more sense to hide, do some re-con, and then attack with the intent to capture; not this random, full-on assault! How the hell did this guy become a chunnin in the first place?! The walking on air justu was rather nice, Daith admitted. It was, in fact, incredible. The ability to dance on the winds... it would make Daith much more efficient in combat. About three times more so, in fact. There were countless things that would, could, be done with such a justu. In fact, there was an idea forming in the back of his mind... but that was not for now. Now, there was a foolish battle to get to. A foolishly chosen battle. What an idiot. Unlike the Sharingan and Byakugan, Daith's Shunijiome could not tell the difference in the amount of chakra; though how the chakra was molded was plain to him the amount needed was impossible for him to tell. Not impossible; after all, being a Sage did give him a bit of a pointer as towards the amount of chakra... but not enough of one for Daith to use the justu successfully the first time. In fact, it would be idiotic. Daith smirked, and jumped off the owl Enhou; at the same time, he made use of the justu which he had formed, all on his own. While it was true that they needed no handsigns nor and seals placed on his body, the mere way they were constructed made them justu on their own. Green Seal: Murder Purple Seal: Murder Natural Energy flowed into his body, along with the chakra remains of Yuki's air-walking justu. It was a no longer difficult thing for Daith Kui to do, maintaining this balance of chakra. A cloak of chakra formed around the Rainbow Sage; a protection from bodily damage. Unlike Yuki, Daith could not, yet dance on air, so Kui fell through the upper-most branches of the trees. Up ahead, the Rain shinobi heard the cracks of the branches and went into a defensive posture. The four stood back to back to back to back, covering sight of each direction. Daith saw with his Rainbow eyes and he smirked all the more. A classic maneuver. But it would be all too easy to body flicker into the middle of them and just cut them all down with his Purple Seal. However, it would be a better idea to play with them; a policy that Daith was usually strictly against, but in this way he would be able to ascertain a little of Yuki Hane's abilites. Daith wanted to be the one to break the formation; it was stupid, but pride demanded that he arrived before Yuki even though he jumped afterwards. Heh, the body flicker technique was a wonderful little justu. He did it once; dancing along the paths of tree branches; he did it again, flowing downwards to the ground where the Ame-nin where; once more, to dart between their ranks and appear in the middle of them. The Purple Seal's cloak dropped as the Rainbow Sage clapped his hands together. Wind chakra formed, and Daith Kui thrust out his hands to his sides. As he had darted in within their square, he had noted their positions. They all wore black cloaks, and beneath them at least one wore a flak jacket. The one he had seen underneath the cloak of wore a large scroll along his back; it was towards this one that Daith pointed his right hand at. In front of Daith Kui, facing away from where Yuki would be, was a Shinobi who had a white strip on the back of his black cloak; behind Daith Kui, facing towards Yuki's last known position, the Shinobi wore a large shuriken along his back. To Daith's left was a man who wore nothing distinguishing. Smart boy. Wind Release: Violent Wind Palm The man on his right had no time to scream as the wind blast first through the scroll and then his body; the wind went on to smash into a tree that creaked ominously. The man on his left had reacted just a little bit too late; he got away with his life, but Daith believed he was missing an arm. At the very least, the arm was broken beyond simple repair. From his left a tree started falling towards him. Daith blasted forward at the same time as the man with the white stripe. They exchanged a few taijustu as they flew parallel to the ground. Daith Kui was surprised at the man's strength, since he was easily able to withstand the blows of someone in Sage Mode. Unluckily for the shinobi, this was Daith he was messing with. The Purple Seal, which had protected him from damage so far, was now about to go on offensive mode. Daith's eyes narrowed in on the man's hands. Substitution Justu?! Too slow! But the man in fact was not too slow, since the blades of chakra cut through a rock instead. Daith swirled; the cloak of chakra billowed out from him, as blades erupted from it. The effect was similar to Kaiten, except Daith was still moving. Trees and the ground flew up around him as the blades from his Seal tore into the earth, and Daith dispelled the justu. Landing on the tip of the crater-like moat he had formed on the ground, Daith viewed the area. The man that had escaped with the broken arm was casting some sort of Genjustu; that was much was obvious by the way the chakra was moving. The man with the shuriken was fighting Yuki, who was possibly in a mess right now. The man with the white stripe had not escaped; the man was hiding in the bushes. Foolish, to hide from Daith. Impossible, really. |

((I would have posted much earlier but I closed the tab on accident and lost the post)) Daith's actions went went almost unnoticed to Yuki as He continued running on the air using his Air Stepping Stone Technique. When he had landed safely on a tree branch, he had spotted that the Amegakure ninja who wore a large shuriken on his back had been standing some ten feet away. The Ame nin drew a number of senbon from his hip pouch and readied them to be thrown. Yuki, in response, drew his katana and began pouring wind aligned chakra into it. In that instant, Yuki swung his blade, unleashing a powerful sickle of wind onto his opponent, who had suffered from an injury of having his arm split in two. The idiot had tried to block the technique with his bare hand, having his arm sliced in two, while having one side still being attached to his shoulder. Blood gushed from his arm half as He let out a terrifying scream. "Idiot... You tried to block it with your hand.... you may had had a chance if you tried dodging it instead. Yuki quickly returned his katana to it's scabbard and began focusing wind chakra into his palms. The one and a half armed ame nin grabbed his giant shuriken with his free arm and tossed it at Yuki, in spun a great deal and was on it's way to deliver a fatal blow, However, before it managed to reach Him, Yuki clapped his hands together, using the Violent Wind Palm Daith had shown Him earlier, the shuriken reversed it's course, returning to it's owner and pierced him through the skull before he could move. Yuki was able to use the jutsu, but as Daith said, not to it's fullest extent. He looked to see Daith Hunting down the last of their training subjects. |
