Why the original Star Force PWNs.; Little pros and cons...

Not just for dinner anymore.
The original Mega Man Star Force PWNs all the others. Why?

Great story: It's the plot that really brings everything together. It's well-told, and it's got quite a bit of emotional range to it.
Great Characters: The original introduced some great characters, and their little quirks that make them so vulnerable to FM beings.
Awesome bosses: Wouldn't you rather fight Star Force's motley crew, rather than lackluster bosses like Kung-Foo Kid and Diamond Ice? Gemini Spark and Libra Scales were much awesomer.
Y SO SRS?: The plot didn't really try to lighten its mood, or anything, but it was never really quite serious, which is one thing Star Force 2 crapped up.
Simplicity: It's good to be simple for Mega Man. No matter how many things CAPCOM puts in, it's gotta be the Blue Bomber. And the fact that you're always normal Mega Man to start with is quite good. Which leads to our next thing:
Fair Fights: Don't you want to start on equal footing with your enemies? In Star Force, you always start off neutral, instead of gaining elemental advantages like SF2... Another thing is, the bosses, while daunting at first, are never really cheap. Even the final boss doesn't constantly spam until you whittle it down a bit.
The Music: You have a lot of great tunes in Star Force, ecspecially the areas where you fight bosses. Gemini Spark, Libra Scales, and Cygnus Wing had ecspecially good stage music.
And finally...
The whole vibe of it! Back when Star Force first originated, not much was known, and it was kept pretty lighthearted! The whole thing that "you don't know who's a friend, who's a foe, who's the real deal here", it was awesome!

Now, I can list SF1's cons...
Graphics: The graphics on the overworld are vibrant, but graphics in-battle are a bit dull. Animation in-battle is also dull.
Too Easy: Even if I like a fair fight, I also like a little challenge. Unfortunately, the only hard bosses are Gemini Spark, Crown Thunder, Satellite Admin, and Andromeda, all in their final forms. Bosses like Taurus Fire and Harp Note are way too easy.
