Free Grace Churches Forums archive: QUOTE=lightninboy While people are allowed to make up their own minds about politics, a little discussion might be nice. I am a member of the Constitution Party, and there is a good chance I will vote for the Constitution Party Presidential candidate. I am not enthused about any Democrat candidates. I suppose we could live with any of the Republican Party candidates as President compared to any of the Democrat Party candidates as President. I am not enthused about Rudy Giuliani. I am not enthused about John McCain. I question that conservative evangelicals would swing the vote for a Mormon. Fred Thompson may have a fair enough conservative record, but I understand that he is a Churches of Christ man and does not regularly attend services. As for Ron Paul: "According to a former aid to Congressman Paul, the candidate who’s shaking polls and unnerving neo-cons attends an Episcopalian church. He identifies himself as a Protestant. He did not identify himself in the California debate as one who does not believe in the theory of evolution." http://fellowprisoner.wordpress.com/...-is-christian/ Mike Huckabee is a Southern Baptist. Is he an Amillennialist Southern Baptist or a Premillennialist Southern Baptist? Gov. Mike Huckabee shows all the signs of being a Christian Zionist. http://www.christianzionism.org/ Mike Huckabee, Christian Zionist http://eaazi.blogspot.com/2008/01/mi...n-zionist.html Mike Huckabee, Christian Zionist http://www.jewsonfirst.org/08a/hucka...n_zionist.html In short, Huckabee wants to move the Palestinians out of their homeland to the desert in either Saudi Arabia or Egypt...This is a form of ethnic cleansing much like that of our treatment of Native Americans...And it is driven by Premillennial Dispensationalist eschatology (a mouthful, huh?)... http://faithfuldemocrats.com/content/view/701/92/ Christians in the United States need to act--and act NOW--to shut Mike Huckabee up before he does any more damage with his dispensationalist-driven politics. http://darrenpardee.blogspot.com/200...gical-war.html I suspect that it is likely that Huckabee is a Pre-Millenialist but not of the Pre-Trib (Dispensationalist) variety. http://www.talk2action.org/story/2007/12/19/11129/816 If Mike Huckabee can answer “No” to all of these questions, he can have my vote. If he cannot, then I would consider a Huckabee presidency to be more far more troubling than the election of Mitt Romney, and possibly as ominous as the incumbency of another believer in an imminent apocalypse, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. http://www.suicideofthewest.com/?p=674 What do you think about Mike Huckabee, such as is he too liberal? QUOTE=lightninboy The Club For Growth tells about Huckabee's fiscal record. http://www.clubforgrowth.org/index.php QUOTE=Trent Personally, I like Ron Paul. not everything, but he is the best fit overall with what I want. QUOTE=lightninboy I took a test on this Candidate Calculator. http://www.vajoe.com/candidate_calculator.html Your Top Match California Representative Duncan Hunter (R) 90.91% match My runners up were Huckabee and a couple other Republicans. I thought it was pretty accurate. I put down that I was unsure that I wanted the war in Iraq to continue. I was surely pro-death penalty, anti-abortion, anti-minimum wage increase. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duncan_Hunter There may be a good Republican candidate or two, but I am kind of disgusted with the Republican Party and politics in general. Free Grace Churches Forums archive: QUOTE=lightninboy Rush Limbaugh Says He May Not Support The Republican Nominee http://sayanythingblog.com/entry/rus...lican_nominee/ I said it before Rush Limbaugh did. QUOTE=Erin Constitution Party I voted for the Constitution party candidate in one of the last US Presidential elections. I chose him because he held policies and views that I agreed with more than other candidates. After it was all said and done, even though he didn't win, his office called me up personally and thanked me for voting for their candidate. |
